Stayed four nights in a single room. Room was a little small but very clean and modern. Great breakfast with many cold items (various breads and jams, ham and cheese, fruits, etc.) and hot scrambled eggs and bacon. I also tried the hotel's restaurant next to the main building, and while the host didn't seem too happy to seat a single, the food and service were nice. The hotel is right in the middle of Zell am See. You can walk to the City Express gondola in a few minutes, and the train station is just a five-minute stroll away. The lake too is just a minute away. So, great location!! But there is a negative. I stayed in what seemed to be the annex building, and there are a couple of bars/nightclubs nearby (literally, just twenty meters away). These places get going around 4:00 in the afternoon to catch the skiers, and they play loud music until very late. If one is twenty, and if one wants to drink and party, then maybe that is just what one wants. The window muffled the sounds incredibly well, but you can still hear music and drunk people late into the night (2:00 a.m., even later). According to a note on the window, you can get free earplugs from the hotel front desk. Overall, I had a nice stay, but the loud drunks late at night were irritating.
