Lovely lodge at the north end of Yellowstone Park
Stay inside the park for a better experience. Due to Covid there’s only takeout, but Gardiner, Mt. is just 20 mins away with several options that are good. The rooms are big, comfortable, and the WiFi was slow but worked. It was close to so many things. The elk seem to live right on the property. We recommend this!

Hotel was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were making a very good effort in regards to their COVID regulations.

Good stay
Overall a great stay! - clean and covid-conscious! (Cannot enter the lobby or dining areas without a mask, one-way walking, no daily housekeeping, no hangers, no menus, etc) - our room was room was large and had all the basic necessities e.g., soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer. Note: wifi is available at the hotel but it's pretty weak (and almost non existent in the evenings when everyone is trying to connect.) Also there's no coffee in the room so be aware - the beds were spacious but soft - super convenient - 5min walk to the upper and lower terraces - Because of Covid there was only one dining option in the area, so plan accordingly - walls are super thin, so I could hear my neighbors. Bring ear plugs if you are a sensitive sleeper - Elk are on the property eating the grass which is nice

Beautiful Historic Hotel with Views
Hotel is beautiful and has definite historic charm. The bathroom is so cute! Our room looked right out onto the hotel lawn where the elk visit daily. Only drawbacks are that the blankets and pillows definitely left something to be desired. Also there’s no tv, microwave, or WiFi, but that was ok.

The room and hotel environs were rather sterile, although clean Internet was spotty, room was noisy in the morning in the hallway and the from the room above. The shower had no hot water and although this had been going on for a few days they did not tell us at check in, as I may not have stayed.... The best part was the elk wandering around just outside

Great hotel in Yellowstone
Beautifully remodeled with friendly and efficient staff. Views of the mountains from our room was fantastic. With Covid restrictions, the restaurant was closed. The Mammoth grill nearby offered tasty basic grill food at a reasonable price and friendly fast service. Location is great. Elk graze by the hotel every morning and evening, which is fun to watch as you eat nearby on picnic tables . The town of Gardiner is 15 minutes outside the park if you want to go to a restaurant

Worst Value
Please have in mind that we are talking about a “luxury” hotel which has 4.5 stars on Google and “Fabulous 8.8” rating on Hotels.com. I wonder how it comes to these ratings although I know that there are simple ways and very cheap services which can pump up your ratings on Internet. We stayed two nights, $328.00/night for a 2-queen-bedroom. I can strongly claim that this was the worst value hotel service I have ever experienced in all my trips. To make the long story short, I am going to write a list of all things which were missing: 1) WiFi and Internet connection was practically not existing. The speed on the WiFi was so slow that an “AOL dial-up connection” would win the competition by far. I was not even able to reply to my emails. Because the mobile signals in this area are very spotty, we were in a “blind spot” for two days. 2) There isn’t any TV in room. 3) They don’t offer any breakfast. There is a restaurant close by with limited breakfast menu. 4) There isn’t any gym in the hotel. 5) There isn’t any pool in the hotel. 6) There isn’t any coffee machine in the room. 7) There isn’t any hanger in the closet. 8) There isn’t any clock in the room. 9) There isn’t any hair dryer in the room. 10) There isn’t any table in the room. In our trip to Yellowstone we stayed in 4 different hotels every two nights. All other hotels were by far less costly and by far more comfortable. Stay away from this hotel if you are expecting the “21st century hotel standard.

Out of all of the hotels/resorts where we stayed in a month long vacation, this was the most costly and least comfortable. Due to the pandemic all of the furniture in the lobby had been removed and plexiglass installed making it feel like going to the DMV. The check-in clerks were OK, however, later when my hubby asked about noise issues, he was greeted with an "I don't know I've never stayed here." There are no services of any kind at this hotel- no porters to assist with luggage and no luggage carts- each bag had to be carried up separately, . Coffee makers had been removed from the rooms, the restaurant is closed and expensive coffee was available only at the grill to which we had to walk a block. There is no room service. Since the hotel is in the park, there is no air conditioning, and our room never got below 80 degrees. It was somewhat bearable only with the fan provided blowing directly on us. Noise was a major issue- when we arrived it was quiet, however, as more people checked in we could hear voices through the wall at the head of our bed as well as walking and thumping overhead. With the constant noise- and it did not appear to be loud, we slept with our heads at the foot of the bed so we could not hear the neighbors. On the plus side, the decor was updated and reflective of the original hotel, we saw elk dining on the hotel grass, and we were in the park for touring. These did not, however, justify paying $275 per night with the lack of creature comforts.

It is a beautiful property. It would have been perfect the 2 days we were there except there was no hot water. ‘Hot Springs Cold Shower’ is what my wife now calls it. I’m certain it will be fixed in the future, but that was kinda a drag.
