Nice place. There is a convenient store and restaurant nearby. Hailing a taxi was painless. Manager was accommodating.

Excellent Location near ADNEC
This apartment-style hotel is well located near the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. Though only about 2km from ADNEC, weather, traffic and the lack of sidewalks make travel by taxi preferable (about 8 AED one way). One bedroom suites are quite large and include a kitchenette with combo-washer/dryer, refrigerator and microwave. Unfortunately, the kitchenettes are not equipped with dishes & utensils. Rooms have lots of closet/storage space. Breakfast buffet was good (66 AED, including all taxes and service). Transportation to/from the airport is 150 AED each way (not return as indicated on Expedia's Website), though the service was excellent (hotel contracts this service out). Room service was good, and affordable for the city. Hotel is in a newer development, but you can still find convenience stores, grocers, restaurants, etc. nearby.

Angry over hotel treatment
I specifically booked this hotel several months on advance of an exhibition because the price was right and it was right next to the exhibition grounds. When I go to check in, I'm told due to construction I'm being moved to another hotel 12 km away downtown. When I complained about increased transport cost I was told they would arrange transport. That's all well and good if you are at the exhibition only between opening hours, but I had other meetings before and after that forced me to take cabs. I could not return to my hotel to change before an event because my hotel was 12 km away rather than 2. Also, the hotel I was put into was in a sketchy part of town. I went out to find a restaurant, best I could tell there were 2 and the Chinese one was awful. It was full of tiny electronics shops and dozens of expats just hanging out on the street. I did not feel threatened, but as a lone white woman I was a novelty out on the street. I guess it's one way for the other hotel to guarantee you eat at their restaurants. Also, from what my colleagues who DID get to stay at this hotel said, my substitute was a dump compared to my chosen hotel. If they had an issue with my room they should have told me in advance and let me decide what to do. Sure, I got a room for the same price but there is more to choosing a hotel than just having a roof over your head. I would never again take a chance on this hotel despite a super location. Will say staff were great, not their fauLtd.

Treated like royalty
We arrived at the hotel after a long day of traveling. The hotel staff greeted us with snacks of dates and tea. (There were other things offered, but that's what I took.) The hotel manager helped us to our room and gave a brief tour - since the room was huge! There were four of us traveling together and the room was plenty large enough for us. We wish we would have had more time there! Even though there were water bottles in the room, the manager wanted us to feel very welcome and ordered a few more for our overnight stay. As indicated by the title, we were treated like we were royalty. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great place to stayed wish I had longer there
The hotel was great however it was very hard to find make sure you use a Gps or take a taxi. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was huge wish we had stayed longer. We did have some maintenance problems with the hot water , microwave not working and a couple of other issues however they were quick to come and fix even though it was late at night. Front counter staff very nice. The parking was valet parking which I was not comfortable with as I like to park my own car and have access to my car when ever I wish, in saying that they were prompt in returning the car to me when requested. There is a small cluster of shops across the road from the hotel good for your essential items there is also a pharmacy too.The hotel is close to the grand mosque and about 20min to Yas Island.

Appalling customer service behavior
First, it needs to be clarified that the hotel payment policy is to pay upon check-in NOT either or and definitely NOT on check-out as is the case for the majority of hotels around. Due to this confusion, the staff continued to harass us and our guests who were staying in the hotel for payment with repeated phone calls (5 or 6 times at once or repeatedly while the guests were in the room) despite our confirmation that we would come pay as soon as possible. We were in the middle of organizing guests for our wedding and ensuring that our guests were able to maintain activities during their visit to the UAE. The staff's lack of compassion and customer service attitude added unnecessary stress to our already busy time. Even after we made payment and requested that they change their behavior, when it came time to pay for an extra day, their harassing behavior continued making any false apology made previously obsolete. Furthermore, the hot water did not work and required regular maintenance calls to have it fixed in the two rooms that were reserved. The space seemed to be quite nice and plentiful for our guests. It's just a shame that the staff's poor customer service attitude and harassing behavior with zero apology or compassion left a bad taste for us to never recommend or use them again despite their close proximity to us for future visitors....

Nice brief stay
I was impressed with the amount of space in the room that was provided to me. Unfortunately, getting a cab at 5am to the airport was a challenge. The staff was very helpful with hailing a taxi and I was able to arrive at the airport. If you go with a car then there are several places nearby to drive to. Great stay and would return.

Terrible hotel and experience.
Incapable staff & manager on duty. Breakfast rate on Expedia is 58AED, on site it is 98AED with no one to explain why! Too noisy despite being in an executive suite, which is the size of a match box too. Dry Hotel! Seriously!!, it means No Alcohol and I guess it should be mentioned in capital letters before booking, no?

A very good hotel for a good price in Abu Dhabi
Amongst those hotels in that price range this is one of the best in Abu Dhabi. It is perfectly clean and all new facilities, all very nice. The staff is professional and fast. You have free valet parking, free internet, a good location, very nice bathrooms with everything you get in a good 5star. My only upset was that the AC was so intense that I was freezing like crazy even after turning it off.

Close to Grande Mosque but not much else
I was extremely pleased with the Danat Residence. My room was spacious and clean. The one bedroom had a washer/dryer for which I was grateful for during my journey. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants and a grocer nearby, but otherwise there wasn't much else to see in the vicinity. The marina was a cheap, 20 minute cab ride away. Morning breakfast was good but wildly overpriced. They did have a 2 for 1 special during my stay, but I was traveling solo, so that did not help me out. Overall, the Danat Residence was a great value for the price.

Very close to ADNEC, nice staff
Nice and helpful staff, hotel well located not far from ADNEC, many taxis coming. For eating Mushrif mall is less than 10 AED away, the sheikh Zayed mosque, a must see landmark is not far by taxi either.

A bit basic.
The hotel has very nice staff but the rooms are pretty tired and in need of an upgrade. The AC units had dirt and grime on the surrounding wall and the furniture is not of great quality and in need of upgrading. Breakfast is pretty basic and there is no alcohol licence.
