What a gem! We were blown away by the grounds and facilities at this stay. Dinner was fabulous, the bar was making delicious craft cocktails, and breakfast had so many options everyone could find something wonderful. We stumbled upon a billiard room our last night there while wandering around the cloisters, and found it so charming. Beds were not the greatest, shower was small and leaky, but I would absolutely stay here again!

It is a must-do in Italy if you are traveling to Tuscany. The hotel's decoration and architecture transport you back in time. The breakfast and restaurant are excellent.

8/10 Very Good

Beautiful grounds and great breakfast spread. The catch is that their apartments (monks cells) do not have AC, and windows are small and have no mosquito nets. Could not sleep the first night, we switched and got two separate double rooms with AC by paying almost double, but we were comfortable. Something you should be aware if you travel at the peak of summer. The area around the property is scenic, among vineyards and orchards, but the drive through the periphery of Siena is pretty ugly, before reaching the historical center which is breathtaking with easily one of the most beautiful piazzas (del Canpo) in the whole Italy. The bar is convenient but I recommend the restaurants on the Main Street before turning towards Pontignano (La Botte di Chianti in Ponte a Bozzone, inexpensive and good food).

This is a one of a kind place, it is absolutely wonderful. The spaces are different from any where else you would stay. The restaurant is also very good and a beautiful setting to dine in. The breakfast coffee could be improved.

Truly an exceptional place, a unique experience, the staff were wonderful, the atmosphere and history permeated from every corner of this magnificent building. The gardens were maintained immaculately.
All staff- from check in, bar (superb sommelier
with great knowledge of wines), restaurant waiters, cleaners were incredibly attentive, polite and friendly.
Exceptional selection and quality of food and drink. A place that treasures local produce and highest quality ingredients.
An unforgettable experience in heart of Tuscany. Thank you

The full-service restaurant was great (although pricey) with excellent attentive staff. However, the bar/cafe/grocery was even better. Paola was a wonderful server/conversationalist/all-around great guy. We had very good food available there in a limited menu at reasonable prices with great conversation. The front desk staff was very helpful with maps and suggestions of driving tours we could take advantage of, which we did.

Amazing historic building. The bartenders were great & the food at restaurant was NEXT level good. Likely one of the best truffle risotto that I have ever had. We had an apartment & it’s a very choppy design and without AC. We were very lucky thst it was cool when we were there. The fans were more than enough to keep us comfy. BEAUTIFUL garden area & the included breakfast was great. We would stay again as long as the weather is cool.

Tuscan gem
We were thankful to have found this Tuscan gem on our recent trip to Siena. It wasn’t that far out of the city and the short drive was well worth it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing - much more than a typical Italian breakfast. We enjoyed walking through the garden in the morning before departure.

Fantastic stay
We had the most amazing stay, the staff were fantastic with our little one and the grounds were beautiful. This was such an amazing find and we hope to return in the future. Not too far from Siena if you have a car. Food was amazing - dinner and breakfast were both great. Would 100% recommend.

Beautiful grounds! Take time to explore!
The property is gorgeous! Take time from your trip to explore the grounds & nearby villages. The sprawling gardens, floral arches, antique wine processing equipment, the chapel, the well… everything is wonderful. The restaurant was fantastic as well! Try the Steak Florentine! A very beautiful & quiet stay, we would definitely come back!

A unique stay with such a rich unique history!
Staying at this old monastery is such a uniquely different guest experience! Surrounded by fantastic old architecture and history, in a quiet location, with beautiful courtyards, Italian garden and an ornately decorated old church.
Staff was friendly. Dine in the courtyard which is in a romantic setting, whereas the restaurant lacks ambiance. Amazing breakfast options, dining on patio overlooking the Italian garden. The room was small, but we were happy to get a queen bed.

This BEAUTIFUL location in Tuscany is wonderful! I wish we had had time to stay longer! We ate in the courtyard for dinner and loved the restaurant as well. Convenient parking, breakfast and wifi included. This place is terrific!
