Stay here
The coolest place! I loved the journey to Powell River and this was the perfect landing spot. The room was incredible, every detail really special. I love a morning that begins with a nespresso, great shower and warm breakfast made to order. The perfect getaway.

Loved the vintage feeling, yummy breakfast, and personal touches. Really appreciated that proprietor walked us to our room, checked that the remotes worked and showed us how to use the tv. Definitely will return.

One of a kind boutique hotel in a historic neighborhood. The owner has gone the extra mile and it shows throughout. Feels like staying in a museum with the modern amenities, great choice if you're into the aesthetic.
Breakfast of your choice, which includes Eggs Benny, each morning with your stay is a great personal touch.
The only negative, being an old building, are lots of stairs and hearing doors opening, closing and being slammed by other guests during the day.
I'm sure the owner could add some felt pads to the door frames to help with the latter.
Overall highly recommended.

This is one of the coolest places we have ever stayed and we travel a lot. The history is interesting and the stay was very comfortable. Kelly owns the place and is a very nice person. The breakfast included was amazing. We will stay here every time we come to Powell River.

I was pleasantly surprised with the vibe of the Old Courthouse. In an age of sterile and boring hotels this one will knock your socks off? Why because it's like stepping back in a time machine to a bygone era. At first you might be taken aback with the eccentricity but within minutes being in a museum will hopefully give you a sense of nostalgia. BC at its best..I'll be back.
P.s. Breakfast was AAA

The Old Courthouse Inn was a great base for our hiking trip on the Sunshine Coast Trail, it's close to the float plane airport and right by the trail. The restaurant Edie Rae's had excellent food and Kelly the Inkeeper was a great host, I'd recommend it to anyone staying in Powell River.

Service was great. Room was perfect for us. It had a nostalgic feel but had good WiFi and all the necessary amenities. The included breakfast was really delicious and the breakfast service was top notch. I’d go just to eat breakfast there.

A glorious old Powell River hotel, beautifully preserved and sympathetically loved. Kelly clearly has a love for the place. TheTownsite brewery and tasting room nearby added to the pleasure, as did the very finely spiced foods at the Royal Zakya restaurant up the hill.

The owner/manager was there to greet us and show us to our room. He showed us how the tv worked and when the restaurant was open and the room with extra snacks and irons etc. very super helpful. Our night included breakfast and it was a choice of a number of full choices with a beverage included. The waitress was friendly and helpful and received her due tip! 10/10 everything included.

Couldn't find any Shampoo?
The soap on the wall of the shower was not good for Shampoo.
Every else good and the breakfast was excellent.

This was the most unique hotel I have stayed in. Historic building beautifully renovated into hotel. Antiques were a surprise and added to hotel charm. Modern additions ie. charging ports and Nespresso appreciated. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Location in "historic" district meant it was a distance from main shopping/restaurant areas of Powell River and close to historic employer--the paper mill. Area did have some restaurants and shopping though. Walking around, appreciated all the historic markers detailing area history. Having a breakfast menu was appreciated but computer issue and my order not sent thru. I patiently waited and then had to ask about my breakfast. Staff person was new and apologetic. Delay may have been part of the part of then rushing the order and not the best eggs beny I have had. Overall I enjoyed the hotel and would stay again.

Nice property but hotel did not provide breakfast as promised. Upon arrival, I was informed that the restaurant was closed. A hotel pamphlet inside our room indicated that breakfast items would be available in the kitchen. On the first morning no breakfast items were available. Despite leaving a message about the lack of breakfast, there were no breakfast items available on the second morning of our stay as well. I followed up the stay with an email requesting a modest refund that was completely ignored. This is a nice property, but the level of service is terrible and you cannot rely on the hotel providing breakfast.
