Friendly staff, excessively noisy, not clean.
Let's start with the good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the beach view was nice to have. However, the room itself was not very clean. Under the bed looked like it has never been cleaned. The shower doors were heavily water stained. The bathroom had sort of a public restroom smell to it if that makes sense. The door to the room did not seal well at all so every night, the room would collect large insects and a lot of mosquitos. I spent a while tracking down the huge bugs as they went under the bed. That's when I noticed it appears the bed never gets cleaned underneath. Huge amounts of webs and dust and insects. I had to stuff towels under the door and that kept the large insects out but but the mosquitos still came as they pleased. Having a beach view was nice to look at but at night when I'm trying to sleep, people were knocking on my window, yelling and making a racket outside my window until midnight and sometimes later. The final night of my stay, there was a group of 3 or 4 dogs that were fighting outside my window from about 11pm until midnight. Not necessarily the hotel's fault but maybe that's just the price you pay for a Beach front hotel in El Nido. I've been in the Philippines for 2 weeks and this is the most expensive place I have stayed and was by far the most disappointing. Won't be returning.

Amazing view, but worst hotel I’ve ever been in
I’ll give 2 stars for the amazing view, but the room was disgusting. The bathroom was like what I imagine you’d find in prison. The shower flooded the entire bathroom, as it wasn’t divided from toilet. They left size 4 dirty and gross slippers to use though🙄. AC was crappy. Dirt and dust everywhere, and to top it off a resident gecko that chirped very loudly all night keeping me up. Oh and rude front desk. View from balcony was magical though

I really enjoyed my stay here. The only issue I encountered was front desk not being able to remagnetize my keycard to my room which was an inconvenience. I was told that the keycards were locked in a safe somewhere and only accessible by management. In my opinion, that was the most ludicrous thing I’ve ever heard. I’ve stayed at many hotels across the world and never had I heard such an excuse. One last complaint… The breakfast buffet was disgusting and clearly ownership is trying to cut corners financially. Not a good look for a beachside hotel.

It’s an outdated rundown hotel. Paid 3 nights in advance for a family suite. Was given a room with a large bed and a twin bed side by side. Mattresses were thin and uncomfortable. Found another nearby hotel and checked out of this one. My payment was non refundable but no way were my friend and I staying here. Front desk clerk was friendly and apologetic. She even had one of the staff help us move out our luggage.

Poor maintenance and cleaning
There were many faults with the room which could easily be fixed, including bathroom door does not close, bathroom tiles need cleaning , new shower head needed, no hot water kettle provided, water bottles not provided when room serviced, bathroom has bad smell, bathroom glass shelf not stable.

Great location for the price. Very clean, large bathrooms with bidet and rain shower head, lots of water pressure and hot water, beautiful water view from the room with wall to wall glass windows, polite and helpful staff. Accommodating with excursion and airport transportation. Highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again. Yummy and great selection of hot and cold breakfast was my favorite.

Not staying again…
Was ok, asked for late check out - was never interested. Breakfast below par- Limited selection. Staff need to be much more receptive to change especially in this industry.

My friends and I enjoyed our stayed in this hotel as we were in townsquare which in the middle of all the good spots no need for driving everything is walking distance. If I ever comes back to the Philippines would definitely go back.

The location was great. Beach right in front of our balcony. We had some nice sunsets. When it gets too hot and muggy, we close the balcony doors and turn the AC.

The property felt like it was rundown but the staff they are excellent - very attentive kind and always helpful - they really go well beyond. I’ve been around the world and I must say the staff in this hotel would rate the best for me. Sadly the hotel needs some upkeep and remodeling. I stayed at the 3 rd floor with the newer rooms - thank God. But in the middle of the new rooms and the old rooms there’s like a hallway that it’s so nasty and dirty that you’re scared to even look at it😞

Every single night you hear brawling outside the premises. It’s really loud that it will wake you up - it’s as if it’s outside your door.

We had a terrible experience , AC was not working well, it was not that cool, wi fi slow , place not clean enough, that's why we decided to cancel and didn't stay in this hotel, we were asking for a refund for consideration, because we were not happy at all. And unfortunately they won't give as our refund, I was so disappointed and I considered this as a scam . Don't ever book at El Nido hotel.

Great location, beautiful view from the balcony to the Bay Area, beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Staff at reception was mainly nice and helpful. There were some maintenance jobs that meant noise in the morning but otherwise all good. We extended our stay and so had to move from our room to a new one, which was an upgrade though we preferred the room in the older part of the hotel a a it was more spacious and had the balcony. Breakfast was filling and plenty. Booking online was way cheaper than in person, and also that meant we could pay by card instead of cash. All in all good stay and helpful staff though with small tweaks it could be a really amazing experience!
