Very Disappointing
I had high hopes for this place. It was billed as "true luxury on the Merrimack" and "completely renovated inside and out." If that's true, I'd hate to see the before photos. It looked like a haunted house and an art deco hotel from the 50s had a baby, and not a cute one. The bed was uncomfortable. There was no overhead lighting and the room was very dark. Our TV set kept turning itself on during the night and waking us up. Not their fault, but whoever was staying in the room above walked the floors all night and everything rattled and shook. When I mentioned all of this to the staff, I got crickets. No attempt to apologize or make it better. The restaurant food was quite average, however the wait staff was very attentive (the one bright spot). Be careful, fellow travelers.

I'll be back!
When I arrived I knew it was going to be a great experience. The ambiance was amazing. The bed was extraordinary! HOWEVER, when I asked what kind of mattress it was, the front desk didn't know. I had a double queen room on the 2nd floor with a balcony. The temperature remained perfect in my room at 75 degrees without the sound of any furnace or A/C. All of the amenities were top-notch and there was ample storage for my belongings. I did not have time to explore the spa, though I got a list of prices which were all very reasonable.

Wonderful first time stay at the cheateau! Stopped by for the night with a friend for a girls night out and the staff were very friendly. The massage lady that we spoke with at the pool was so funny and friendly! I think it’s her birthday ..so happy birthday to her!! Was fun to share a few laughs with by the pool. Room was a king size bed, hot tub and jacuzzi and was amazing only thing was the vents in the hallway when you walk in absolutely WREAKED of fish/seafood. Not sure if the vent was attached to a kitchen vent? Room Capri was great, just needs some cleaning supples for the smell otherwise fabulous.
