the rooms were ok a bit old and worn, the problem was that they smelled of mold in the room. I told the staff about the smell but all they did was spray with odor spray which the smell disappeared after a short while. After my stay after 14 days my clothes started to smell strange. The breakfast was not much to brag about, when they ran out of food it took a long time to put out new food.... annoying. the staff in the restaurant were helpful but difficult to communicate with 😅 And You gonna think its next to the beach but its only rocks so the fact is you need to take taxi or bike everyday to reach a decent beach..

Great value for money
We had a wonderful week at AWA and we truly enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the great location. The stay was great value for money, but we did not get a luxurious feeling. Communal areas of the hotel are in need of attention and improvements. There seems to be a lack of maintenance routines which makes the property look tired and worn. The standard had deteriorated compared to our previous stay. Rooms are spacious and very comforable. Great beds with luxurious beddings. Good and quiet AC in the room. Very good cleaning and the state of the rooms are better than the communal areas. Service at the reception was very good, but in the breakfast and beach bar the staff seemed not well trained and did not provide 5 star service. It sometimes felt like the guest was "bothering" the staff. Massage on the beach is fantastic! Too few sun beds at the beach area and state of beds and tables were not good.

A great hotel with eager staff. We had a family room which was excellent value for money and we organised a brilliant snorkelling excursion through reception. The pool is a real highlight - 40 metres long, warm and not too shallow. Whilst we couldn’t access the beach directly from the hotel it was a short walk to Kai Bae beach which is beautiful. There was a lot of removing on during our stay as it was the wet season but it didn’t bother us a bit and meant the hotel was quiet and the service excellent. We definitely return next time we visit Koh Chang.

Amazing stay
Very nice hotel with a very chill atmosphere. They will do everything to make your stay pleasant. We stayed here several times along the years. We got an upgrade and stayed in an amazing suite with beach view. It was very convenient with our small kids - and the room was so beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.
