While some may consider it a bit pricey the lodge is an excellent location to stay at, in very close proximity to wilderness especially in winter. It has very warm sleeping quarters and living amenities and excellent food to enjoy.

Great stay with excellent dining options. Lake is beautiful in morning just down from chalet. Mo and other staff were very helpful.

No mobile at cabin and the heater only works for 20 minutes when you turn it on. But like the silence and cleanness of the cabin.

Nice place but it would have been nice if they had a toaster in the room. A bit expensive but I understand demand/supply. Beautiful place.

The food in restaurant was alittle pricey but I thought worth it. The veggies were crisp and not being a big bread eater, the entree bread was crisp and light, as was the toast in the morning. All food is organic and it absolutely made a taste difference for me.

Loved the cabin - clean, cosy, well appointed & peaceful on the edge of beautiful Lake St Clair. I don't wish to criticize the reception & restaurant as I realise it must be very hard to get staff in such remote places at the moment, however the reception person-in- training was so out of place with such limited English & knowledge of the local area. Good on you & him for trying tho & for deferring to management when we had an issue

A beautiful destination, great facilities, a little expensive, but being in the middle of nowhere, it was value for money. The receptionist on arrival was extremely busy, and alone, but was an absolute gem~ should be commended for his patience, pleasant attitude and acknowledgement of those waiting. The gin was awesome.

Property was sold as a studio sleeping 3. Was not a studio but a bed with a bathroom - with apparantly the option of a portable bed as requested. The description of the property sold on wotif did not in any way match the reality. For $420 tariff dreadful value . I arrived there with my adult son and had to upgrade to a room with kitchen facilities and a lounge so we could at least sit down - this cost was close to $580 for the night . The couch/ sofa bed was vinyl and peeling and looked like it came from the tip shop. No dry pan, chopping board or adequate kitchen supplies . Advise anyone contemplating to give lake st clair lodge a big swerve / dreadful value for money and tired and shabby. Would never g back

This was very expensive accommodation yet there was no cutlery, cutting board, plates, wine glasses, toaster, microwave! The meals were very expensive and not always good, ( terrible pizza $28). No facilities to make our own meals. The breakfast supplied, was so basic, no fruit, no honey for the weetbix, and no alternative milks! Then there was the ‘boat cruise around the lake’ for $75 each, what a joke! One hour ride up the middle to a stop yo pick up some trail walkers then straight back to the lodge. An absolute rip-off!! I would not recommend staying there!

Not a great experience for an expensive hotel. The fridge was very noisy making it difficult to sleep. When I got up during the night to investigate I found it was not working properly. I had medication that needed to be kept cold in the fridge which was now warmer than reqd. I reported this to the staff the next day but they were not overly interested. The next day there was a power blackout in the cabins but the admin office was not affected as they had a back up generator. Again the staff were not interested.

Staff were great. Lovely lunch and dinner options and desserts were amazing. Cabin was ok, but parking a bit challenging in some cabins. Accessibility also a bit of a challenge, ramps don't always lead to the carpark or other useful areas. Not a lot of privacy in the cabin, soundproof though. Included breakfast was poor. The range of options provided was as expected, but toasters didn't work properly, bacon was chewy and scrambled eggs discoloured and rubbery. Lots of great walks around the area and a beautiful spot.

Beautiful surrounding with great & friendly staff at reception. Only complaints is that no other mirror in the room except the bathroom but the mirror is way too high for most and average people able to see. Need a 2nd mirror desperately

Remote and rugged
Lovely remote retreat. Rooms are spacious and warm. Bathrooms are clean and recently renovated. They are very comfortable. The rooms are a long way from the restaurant area a consideration for older people or less mobile but easy walking track about 5-10 minutes walk. TV are are tiny, my husband had to wear his glasses to see. The only fail is that it should be stated there is no phone signal or wifi in the room, only at the restaurant. If people know they can make their own choice. Friendly staff who are try hard but in a remote area are a bit understaffed.

Very overpriced
Very over priced for what it is. Its best feature is the location on the banks of Lake St Clair. Cabins were basic, for the price they charge. Bed and pillows weren’t great. Our fridge was very noisy throughout the night. Shower is smallish. No wifi or mobile reception in room. There was wifi in the reception area only. We had dinner in the restaurant. Food was disappointing. We wouldn’t stay here again.
