It's great but only Telstra works in the area, so we didn't have any network coverage. No wifi as well.

The location was fantastic for touring around Cradle mountain. The ensuite room had toaster, kettle, microwave and a great size fridge. We really enjoyed walking around and had a great local wine along with a microwave meal among the birds after a few days hiking.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Platypus suite. The cabin was very spacious yet cozy at the same time. I particularly loved the cute fairy garden decorations and thought it was the sweetest thing on earth. The pademelons freely roaming about outside were also very cute.

Super cute cottage style property about 25mims from Cradle Mountain. Really spacious with a lounge/dining/kitchen and huge bathroom with spa. You so need to be prepared for this accom as there are no cooking facilitates, just a microwave and not much around. There is also no wifi and almost no Telstra service (1 bar of 4g). If you’re looking for something off grid that’s still comfy and warm this is perfect.

Great room but ‘wilderness’ experience spoilt by lack of screening. We were looking out at parked cars and a huge tank.

8/10 Very Good

The Inn was charming, and we stayed in a lovely cabin. It was very private, clean, and quiet. The room had a heater, which was more than enough to keep us warm in the cold weather. The location of the Inn is very remote (as you would expect). There are limited dining options close to the Inn, so you need to do your research and book ahead. The apartment only has a toaster and microwave, so we had to plan meals that didn't require full kitchen facilities. Given the lack of dining options in the area, it might be worthwhile for the owners to consider some more kitchen accommodations. We also weren't expecting the lack of service in the area and had no means of accessing the internet or mobile service (as we're not with Telstra) from the Inn. To be fair, we didn't look up their website in enough detail beforehand to find this information. We weren't provided with check in information directly from the Inn (it was apparently sent through last minute - which we never received). So when we arrived, we had to jump through some hoops in order to find out how to access the key from the lock box. This involved asking the coffee spot next door for wifi access to find the Inn's phone number and then walking up to the Telstra phone box across the road to contact the Inn for the lockbox code. The room had a TV as the only source of entertainment. Without wifi access, it would be good if the Inn provided some games/books as entertainment for guests.

Large self contained cabin, so come prepare for a home cooked meal - note no restaurant on site. There are others 15 - 20 mins away. I would recommend 2nd so you can go see the wombats in the late afternoon one day,

Cradle Mountain Area
It was interesting. Due to some bad weather and Highwinds and electricity cable was down and we were without electricity for approximately 15 hours. The staff on hand with fantastic and accommodating and it was a fun experience. Love the area
