I arrived at the hotel and was immediately greeted by a very friendly front desk Agent, dropped off my bags as our flight arrived early. When we got back a few hours later that agent’s shift appeared to have ended and another young lady was checking us in, zero conversation, she did not really acknowledge me and had the most unpleasant look on her face.
I thought that was the worst part of the trip, on Saturday October 26th we got back to the hotel from sightseeing and there was no electricity, elevators were not working and the hotel was in darkness, guests were advised by staff that the generator was old and cannot power the elevators, exasperated and tired I relaxed in the lobby for 2 hours, no communication from the staff, we were not even offered a bottle of water, instead we were told it’s $5.
After 3 hours I had to climb 15 flights of stairs to get to my room on the 15th floor, there was no AC nor lights in the room, after being in the room for about 30 mins I went back to front desk and ask what’s the alternative plan, the agent replied “ we can give you 50% off tonight’s rate, that’s the best we can do or we can process a refund” mind you I booked 4 nights at the hotel and which was not cheap.
I was appalled at the service, You can never get through to front desk via phone from your room, no one answers, complementary breakfast was the worst I have experienced…….housekeeping staff was great, but I would never go back to that hotel, I have stayed at over 30 hotels
