We stayed 2 nights during our trip through the south island. The views at this hotel are TO DIE FOR! With the sea out back and the pond out front, it was easy to take it all in and relax. Claire was an amazing host. The breakfast (and wine selection) that was provided was delicious (lots of "winery" style items like cured meats, cheese, and fresh fruit). The family dog, Zeta, who we met at check in was delightful. The only negative is that the walls between the 2 rooms are pretty thin. We had to be careful not to make too much noise to not disturb our neighbors. This didn't cause us any inconvenience though, as the room came with an alarm clock/sound machine. We just turned on the "rain" noise to cover up the sound of our neighbor's tv. The hotel is a short drive from a few awesome restaurants on the Wharf. And in close proximity to Kaiteriteri where we took off on an excursion to Abel Tasman. Would definitely recommend The Waters and hope to return some day!
