Fantastic location for a ski trip
stayed for 5 nights with my adult son for a 5 day ski trip. it iwas an ideal hotel for a boys trip. we rented a junior suite with two double beds with a glorius view of the mountain and the cig-roc lift. the main entry and ticket office to the sestriere ski resort is directly across the street from the hotel. the ski check is below the ski ticket office so that was an added plus! we drove to the hotel rather than take a complex blend of trains and buses and with car rental prices so cheap in milan airport it came out to about the same price for two of us. the breakfast is ok. nothing cooked but enough to get by. the staff were kind and wonderful people. the only reason i gave 4 star is because the hotel feels dated but that was also charming. if skiing is your main object and you want to be as close to ski in/.ski out in a comfortable setting that doesnt break th bank, this is your best bet.

Perfect hotel for skiing 100m from the slopes
Good facilities / car parking . Boot room could have heated and ventilated boot racks but was fine. Spa temperatures could be warmer but these minor points are nitpicking. The staff were fantastic, helpful, kind and did everything to accomodate the guests. Prices were reasonable. Excellent .

Great hotel right up the top of the mountain
We stayed here for only night but found the hotel to be very comfortable. The reception was great, very friendly and informative. The room was large enough with a king bed. The only negative would have to be the ensuite. Very small. Overall a good place to put your head.

Rocco in the bar is a star. Some people have moaned about how hot it is in the rooms and yes it was warm but if you open the window a little it's fine..... Who'd have thought that......

Great for Skiing
Feb 2015 - We've just got back from staying at Hotel Cristallo for a long weekend ski trip. The hotel is in a perfect location for skiing with the ticket office directly opposite and the lifts less than 50m away. The hotel is very clean with good rooms and showers. The steam room and sauna are a great addition after a day on the slopes, agree with others that the hot tub could be warmer but used it after the steam room so fine. We had a meal at the restaurant which was a very pleasant experience and the value was exceptional. Will be back next year.

The best Ski hotel so far in 9 years.
This hotel is fantastic, we did our own trip this as only wanted 4 days. The hotel is opposite the slopes and is almost ski in ski out, just a road a car park to cross on foot, Marcellin sport ski shop is next door. Hotel staff are great and were very friendly and helpful ( sorted our snow chain problems for us) The lounge & bar was alway warm and welcoming, the restaurant breakfasts consisted of a very large selection of hot and cold food, the evening meals also looked good too but we always eat out at the local restaurants in the evenings. My wife loved the king sized bed in our room and the maids turn down service in the evening. If you're lucky to get a front room you look out on to the ski slopes, so would we would go back, 100% yes, got a very good deal through Expedia too.

Good Place for the nights stop
It was a stop for one night the restaurant was every limited as was the breakfast, but the staff were good friendly and the hotel was clean and tidy. We managed to get some wifi. Could have done with a little more life in the town but we were only there one night, Rooms were good and nice and clean.

Close to the ski slopes
Room- comfortable enough for two people and reasonably priced, their restaurant is fine, breakfast services are good. The location is excellent for skiers. The hotel offers an option to use their spa to shower if you are skiing during the day after the checkout time which is nice. On the negative the desk service is slow; spa, showers, jacuzzi, room decor - all need updating.

Great location,
Having stayed in many ski resorts throughout Europe, I was very pleasantly surprised at the facilities and service on offer at the Christallo. The staff were friendly, courteous and would go out of their way to help you. Breakfast was nothing special, but a lot better than most hotels in ski resorts. The location is nothing short of fantastic (20 metres to the slopes is not an exaggeration). However, someone has to do something about the heating, and find the switch that turns it down. Even with the heating off and the window open (albeit with the curtains shut), the temperature in the room was unbearable. It made the room extremely uncomfortable to sleep in, and it spoilt what would have otherwise been a perfect stay. Other than the heating, I would highly recommend this hotel.
