Lovely classic hotel , renovated to look like it would of been like years ago , good food and friendly staff. The only downside is the lack of parking as they only have 7 or 8 spaces reserved for them on the road

This hotel is beautifully decorated. We loved the antique authenticity of the rooms. Our only complaint was the WiFi was barely available. Certain areas or devices were able to connect at times. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very nice hotel in great location. Hotel service personnel was very friendly, and help us with our trip plan. We had family suite, including parent room children room and "living room"- and it was very comfortable in very fair price

nicely restored to French art renaissance style
this hotel has had a major facelift bringing it back to its turn of the last century French art renaissance style roots. Each floor has a different colour scheme and the rooms have been given names from famous people of the time and the area. The check in was very friendly with good English, there was a slight confusion between the Expedia site and their own details, but nothing to worry about. check in doesn't open til 7.30 and we had to leave at 7 to get back to Prague airport so missed breakfast.

Very nice, air con in rooms would make it perfect
Everything about this hotel was very nice but just be aware that there is no air conditioning in the rooms and they get stifling hot in the summer. Other than that, couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Fantastiskt hotell

Pomalé vytrácení lesku a krásy

Godt hotel i hyggelig by
Hotellet lå centralt i byen. Hyggelig by med flot torv. Vi bor her gerne igen.

STAY THERE - but do not EAT there - due to staff
The hotel is an AMAZING relic of the atmosphere of the 1920's with GREAT comfort - and I can recommend all of You to STAY there - no doubt about that. But be careful about the staff in case You decide to have an evening meal in their restaurant - I had my worst and most depressing experience in any hotel - EVER. I ordered pork sriolin wapped in bacon about at about 7:30 p.m. and sat waiting and waiting. After 45 minutes I heard loud shouting from the kitchen and a lady dressed in black came and told me that I had to wait 20 minutes more because of "a miscommunication to the kitchen" - a kitchen about FIVE meters (15 feet) from the restaurant. After 50 minutes more there began a 5-minute discussion and laughter between some men in the kitchen - but NOBODY thells me anything. After 5 minutes more I went out in the kitchen where a lady apologized and told me that the food would be finished in five minutes - and I did not have to pay. After 10 minutes the food arrived - and the quiality was good - indeed. This means that the promised 20 minutes turned into 70 minutes without anybody telling me anything - all in all 115 minutes waiting time where all other guests had finished a long time ago. And the next day all staff showed an ice-cold attitude towards me - as if I had done a serious crime by sitting waiting for food for almost two hours the previous evening. But fortunately breakfast itself was fine - and it was my checkoyt-day.

mediocre stay and rude owner
We booked a junior suite for 3 nights. When we arrived we found out that the room has separate beds(we asked for one double), broken windows that would not open and with no air-conditioning (in the middle of summer) it means suffocating in old-furniture smell and heat. Room was supposed to include minibar and it was not there. We asked kindly if they could move us. Owner tried to convince us to stay in the room, telling us how noble the furniture is, telling us creepy stories about “deflorations happening on a polar bear pelt in that room” (the pelt was still there). We tried to ignore it, although already feeling awkward, we just wanted a comfortable bed for the two of us and planned a lot of hikes in the rocks, so did not plan to stay in a room during the day. They gave us a basic room with dim lighting that was obviously a former kitchen since there were some tiles on the wall and again, with no minibar. No tea making facilities, hard mattress. Still, better than a room with no air. When we were checking out, we said that we assume we will not be charged for a suite since we stayed in a basic room, to which the owner said that it is not possible to give us any discount and then, focusing on the minibar issue we mentioned in the beginning of our stay, started offending us, saying that “if we are that sort of people we should choose some other hotel in the future in which we will be able to VEGETATE, getting drunk from a minibar”. I was never treated like this in any hotel.
