BIG SCAM!
We did not stay on the place for the whole duration of our booked dates. Let me start in saying casa del mar beach resort was a well known resort 20-10 years ago. They did not update there pics so when we reached the gate we are shocked since it took us 2-5 mins to arrive at the resort since we are passing there former golf course. That moment we already think that we made a mistake in booking the resort. And when we arrived at the place there we all agreed that we booked wrongly. The place was not the same on the pics. Place is creepy cant think of staying the night. When you enter the room it smells like an old house. There were no bulbs outside and other places in the resort. The worst part is that there is no food to eat since they will need to call the cook (but no luck for us the cook did not arrive) we ended up so hungry and went out to grab food. We checked out right away knowing that they could not promise us that the cook will be there during dinner time (oh! I forgot to say there are no lights on the road going in and out). The place was a scam. Ph.hotels.com should not include this on there listing its a scam. ITS A BIG SCAM!

The photos shown do not reflect the real conditions of the room. Air conditioning didn’t work. Shower head was broken, entire property was rundown.
We had to change rooms ourselves after finding one that’s unlocked and has a half working aircon
Food was expensive compared to other resorts in the area.
Nice beach though

Review during our Stay for 2 nights
Our 2 nights stay is not very satisfiying because we did not expect that the area is so far from the highway & the room that we reserve didn't exceed our expectations. The Television wasn't working and we've been telling them about it for how many times and they said they will look into it but actually didn't. We even thought that the beach was purely white sand but what we saw was full of rocks and Algae. Lastly is that the food was very expensive and the place has a very low signal and unstable wifi connection but all in all, we quite had a good time relaxing and our pets gets to stay and roam around freely.

beautiful place yet still has a lot to improve
The area is secluded and i liked it as a family outing but it is not safe at night. We feel naked no security at the area not even someone to called on when there is an emergency during night time.
Also there is no shuttle or just motorcycle owned by the resort itself for guest who wants to go out to the public beach or just go somewhere else. I understand that it is not a 5-star resort but atleast frontliners knows how to greet guests. I know and feel they are good people but it is nicer to hear as a guest to hear from them "good morning mam/sir"
hello mam/sir.Regarding the food service as well. Seems like the foods are a bit pricey for its plating. Plus we waited too long for bfast to be served coz the one assigned there arrives at the area around 8 am and thats the time where she starts to cook.About the beach , it is nice again the place is wonderful for me, its just the beach has a lot of seaweeds when its lowtide (understandable) but they could have atleast anticipated it since they are there everyday and should clean it like any other private resorts do. Plus Please check if theres a lot of broken glasses. Dogs are okay and fine (atleast for my family, we are pet lovers) The place has a lot to offer but has a lot to improve as well. Would promote the place to my friends only if the beach is clean atleast that's to compensate the shower in the room that takes the electric current from the lights everytime we turned it on. Beds are good, room is big enough

Dreadful place...
Problem one is getting there. It is about 2km off the main road and the last 800 metres or so is an extremely rough track. I was quite worried even in my sturdy SUV. You would certainly not get a tricycle down there and I think most taxi drivers would baulk at it too. On arrival the place seemed deserted - we were the only guests. So we entered the very tired looking but spacious room and walked out onto the balcony which I have to say did have a wonderful view. The bar/restaurant is open from 7.00am to 8.00pm. We ordered a pesto pasta dish which arrived almost cold and tried to order a San Miguel but they only had one left. At dinner the food was a little better but took an hour to arrive—I had chicken and chips while my partner had chicken curry. There is no wine on offer so we had a bottle stashed away in our room because there is a corkage charge of Php1000 in the restaurant. The pool, which had looked so inviting in the Hotels.com website was green and uninviting. The beach was little better and I didn’t want to risk a swim. Even though we had booked three nights we checked out next morning. Breakfast is expensive but edible (where else can you go??). In summary, if you want a bit of chill out time with a few books then you might just be prepared to put up with the shortcomings this place has. Hotels.com should be prosecuted for misrepresentation showing photos of the place in its heyday and making comments like "last available room". Total lies!

Appalling. And a rip off. remove the listing!
This hotel should not be on your listing. It is a disaster and a rip-off. You should have some due diligence! Hotel.com have utterly failed to ensure that users of your service get what is advertised and get a fair deal for what is paid. I am appalled at what we got

Relaxing, Private, Small Beautiful resort. Love8
Offroad on the way to the resort (either ride a single motorcycle or bring your offroad vehicle)... SO CARS BEWARE -YOU CAN'T GET THERE-...the privacy and the peace is worth the travel. YOU CAN REALLY RELAX WELL.. It's small but beautiful. Room is clean with oceanview and nice balcony.. Hot/cold shower is available with decent water pressure. Internet is not good during the daytime... White sand, nice water and very friendly staffs.. The cook is really good, my very picky husband and son love his cooking... actually, we love it... we are still coming back there this coming october....

Centipedes, no food, run down.. waste of time
Room had multiple centipedes all over it. 1 Coke in stock, drunk manager, no food options and what little they did have was way overpriced. No maintenance on property for what appeared to be years.. dirty pool.
Overpriced & bad experience all around.

Nice hotel
I like the the place coz it was quiet although it was a bit far from the main road. The facade of the buildings looks very old and needs renovation however the rooms were well maintained. We were not able to use the pool since it was not treated at the time we were there. We had a good time. If u want a place to relax this is the place where u want to be.

Peaceful Place but Low Maintenance
There were 2 routes to the hotel; we took the other route where the car can't get in, so we need to ask the residences around how to get in to the hotel. We went back to the highway and took the other way. We arrived almost 2pm to check-in, but we were guided to our room 3pm+ because there was no water supply. I appreciate the friendliness of the staffs but they should also consider the guests came from far places; went there to relax but waited too long to checked in. We need to follow-up in every requests we made, like additional bed and food. The was
The foods are expensive and the taste is not worth the price, their bar/cafe is open from 7am to 8pm only. The food is already cold when it arrived and we need to follow-up before it was delivered to our room. They charged P1,000.00 for corkage for food you bring outside except for "junkfoods"/"chichiria".
They charged P1,000.00 per extra person higher than some hotels I've been too which are way far better.
It should be a nice place to relax but looks abandoned because it was not maintained well.

abandoned place.
This place should not be in your site anymore. Pictures posted in here are not updated please check your postings regularly. The resort looks like an abandoned place , room has a very bad smell and the pool is unusable due to no maintenance at all. The access road to the place is very dangerous, the road is very narrow and some parts of the road are already broken it can cause damage to your car. There's even a chance you'll get trap. The place itself has no security it's not safe to tourists. I did not continue with my stay because there's nothing in that place worth staying for and I'm not even sure if it's secure as we were the only guests according to the attendant but there were a lot of bystanders inside.

DECEIVING discounted price with the CORKAGE OF 1K
The place is nice but the thing that i really don't like is their corkage fee of 1000 pesos. They're not consistent with their rules about the corkage, I think we are the only family who are being asked for it. Because the other guest we've talked said they are not reminded about the corkage. Worst is their food is really expensive like almost 300 pesos for a simple breakfast, good thing we prepare some snacks/foodies ahead.
Another thing are stray dogs just scattered anywhere sometimes they just freely drink at the pool.

Quiet, Good Beach
Got there just in time for check-in, so we had the whole day to just unwind. Room was comfortable, very spacious, we had a good view of the beach and our own balcony. Food was quite good for a hotel so far away. The pool isn't deep so it's good for kids and is easy for a nice dip. And the beach was clean and nice, not like other hotels with the rocky type beach, this place has real sand. Will come back when we want to unwind again.

City Escape
The drive to Casa del Mar took around 2 hours from the city as expected being located in the beautiful San Remigio area. I've grown tired of the urban scene so the remote beach location was exactly what I was after. Not too remote however as there is a small town located near the hotel.
The resort itself has its own beach front which I took full advantage of. Most of my time was spent on the sun loungers or taking a dip in either the pool or the sea. Wifi is provided via a portable dongle and is good for mostly emails but I prefer to limit my computer use in a place like this.
Staff on site were exceptionally friendly and were always eager to tend to myself or the other guests.

Very peacefull place to stay.
We were very disappointed upon check in.
We booked 2suite rooms but Upon check in we were told that only 1room was paid for so we had to contact the agent to send money to the resort.
Our biggest let down was, the bed full of bedbugs.

Looks great on photo?
+ very friendly and helpfull staff, good food freshly prepared, comfortable bed and good views of garden, beach and sea from spacious balcony.
- resort is in bad need of refurbishment and investment, rain dripped from ceiling, and the whole building looked drab. Rusting, broken golf buggies set the scene. Do not believe what you see on google earth, the golf course is closed and overgrown and inaccessable. It is a 3km walk to the main road. The resort is totally isolated with no other amenites nearby great if you want solitude but no good if you need variation. I have to say that the staff were willing to arrange transport on request.

The price was affordable and looked to be the best hotel in the area. We drove there from the city during lunch and took us a bit over 2 hours, scenery was nice – looking at the coast and the rolling hills. The resort was nice it had a big open garden like the photos show and the kids really enjoyed the pool while we enjoyed to laze around beside it. The resort staff were also nice and upgraded us to a suite. The room was big and on the ground floor so we could easily get to the beach and pool. Really enjoyed the dinner that was set up for us in the sunshade on the beach with a mix of western and Filipino dishes. Thumbs up to the staff who were very nice.
