Affordable, clean, friendly service.
Every time we are in Sakai visiting our business partners, we stay at Daiwa. It is affordable, friendly service, clean, and right beside Sakaihigashi train station. Would recommend 10/10.

Great hotel next to train station
Very affordable and great service. Its very near the sakaihigashi station which has trains going to namba station. The twin bed room was rather large and spacious unlike most japanese hotels.

So-so hotel
Expected more from the 4.5 star ratings. Staff are nice and tried to be helpful but unfortunately had limited English. Was surprised that we were given a packet of drip coffee each at check-in instead of them leaving it in the room.
Also, it's great that they don't provide bottled water in the room, whether for environmental friendliness or just to save money. Even so, hotels that don't provide bottled water usually will have water dispensers in the corridor or reception area. This hotel does not have water dispensers so you'll have to buy your own bottled water....defeats the purpose of environmental friendliness.

Very Nice & Clean Hotel
We have a pleasant & enjoyable stay in the hotel. Extremely clean room, friendly & helpful front desk staffs, close to local amenities.
Good size room & bathroom has bathtub. They provide additional toiletries for ladies such as: headband, bath salts. We will come back for sure and highly recommended ..

Nice hotel, inconvenient location to Osaka
This hotel is not in Osaka, but it is cheap comparatively to hotels in the city center. There isn't much to eat around the area and I didn't explore recreational things to do so I can't comment on that. I would probably not stay here again since I was just looking for a place to stay for the evening while doing a whirlwind trip in Osaka.

Staying is Sakai
I was in Sakai and could not get a room at the Agora Regency, so tried the Daiwa Roynet. It is a nice hotel for the price, nothing fancy or memorable but it was a pleasant stay and I enjoyed being close to downtown Sakai.

Nice hotel but sooooo far away from everything.
The hotel was well presented and kept, but it was at least an hour I and out of Central Osaka and involved x2 trains. I would not recommend for a traveler who wants to see Osaka at its best as it REALLY is deep in the suburbs.
