Mixed feelings
We filtered our hotel choices by those with parking but when we arrived we were told it was full. We had to scramble for parking. Street parking has a 2 hour limit until 7pm. Scary old elevator for two persons max, scary exposed wiring. Extremely hard double bed in our room, with a twin as well. Small bathroom but at least we had one. Could certainly use a new shower curtain. Dirty old carpets. Adequate breakfast, very Portuguese style. Great location.

I wish I knew that there were stairs and a tiny elevator to get to the 2nd floor to be able to talk with the lady in charge of this hotel. I wish I knew that this hotel was being remodeled. The lady was nice and the man who helped us get into our taxi when we left the hotel was extremely nice too. The room was very nice and the bathroom too. This hotel is not suitable for older people. I bet is going to be better when all the remodeling is done.

2/10 Poor

This is probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. The entire hotel is under construction, and judging from other reviews, it has been under renovation for many months. They should have closed the hotel down during the construction instead of having loud construction noise and construction dust and debris everywhere. The day we arrived, we checked in at 2pm and were told there was no electricity. Thus, the keycard door entry did not work, we couldn't charge our phones, etc. The electricity was out for about 4 hours. The next two mornings, there was no hot water. The last day we were there, there was NO water, period. No showers, no hand-washing, no brushing your teeth, no flushing the toilet. The room they put us in, 401, was in the stairwell and about two feet from the antiquated elevator. There was a huge gap underneath the door for all noise to come through. All night long we heard the sound of the lift creaking up and down, as well as people coming up and down the stairs. We barely sleep that night. The next day we complained and were moved to a different room, 504. This room was quieter; unfortunately, it was also smaller. We are two small people, with only two small bags each. Yet there was no room to move around this room. I had to put my bag under the bathroom sink because there was nowhere else to put it. That's how small the room was. We left two nights early and paid extra to stay somewhere else. Trust the 1-star reviews and avoid this hotel.

Perfect perfect location, but very old building, they were renovating while we were there (oct 2023) bathroom, shower had mold. Carpet on floor….full of stains. A/c worked very well. Breakfast, very basic; coffee, juice, croissant, bun, jams, ham and cheese. Although very well situated, i would not return, which is too bad, because very well situated. Staff very friendly

I love this hotel but the bathroom shower had mold so bad it was disgusting and I was only spending one night so I just accepted it. I stayed 4 and half years ago and it was clean. I hope after the remodeling they are doing they will have clean bathrooms.

The property is a work in progress. You are buying location & a great location it is. The breakfast is not fancy, but for an American, the coffee may have been the best I’ve found in Europe. Every day was an adventure on what was not cleaned in the room. I had my own shower & sink, but multiple rooms shared 2 toilets.

Room was small but clean and great location. Was a little shocked when there was no toilet in our private bathroom but it was just down the hall.

Cheap hostel-esque hotel. The bathroom had mould, and amenities basic. We did not get the numbers of beds for the number of guests, even though photos showed they had enough beds. Nice staff.

The building is old, lift is very small can hold only one person with luggage. The hotelnis situated in a very busy part of Lisboa, traffic and nightkife cause a lot of noise. Unlike North American hotels, the rooms do not have a fridge and microwavve. Besides this, the hotel is clean and the staff are very nice, very accomodating and understanding. There is even breakfast served which is better than north american hotels. Dont let the old building shock you, the rooms are decent and well cleaned with room cleaned everyday.
