Beautiful B&B in a historic house. The staff was very attentive to our needs and friendly. They gave us a free upgrade to one of the best rooms in the house. The interior decor, furniture, paintings, a grand piano, and fireplaces: the owners did a great job re-creating the atmosphere of a 19th-century residence. The cooked breakfast was very good. Easy parking in the back of the house. Very close to several main attractions, including the Art Museum.

Fabulous atmosphere here. Nice big room with claw foot tub and terry robes. Excellent breakfast. Make sure you climb up to the widow's watch.

This property needs a lot of maintenance. Many parts look quite shabby. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was fine. The inn was very clean..

The biggest problem with this property was finding it. It is hidden from the street by a large stone wall and a steeply sloped drive...and there was absolutely no lighting at street level. The rooms were large and commodious, but ours had a discernible odour, which we hoped was attributable only to its age! Breakfast was abundant and delicious...and beautifully presented.

It's a really pretty, and convenient location. Parking is tight for a larger vehicle. It's not obvious until you have already made your choice between the 2 driveway entrances, but take the one to the right of the house.

The property is a beautiful old captain's house with loads of character. It is well taken care of, but even renovated bathroom and kitchenette are showing their age a bit. The owners and staff are tremendous and very friendly. It attracts a clientelle that are also a great bunch of folks. The breakfast, by the owner, is excellent. I purposely went late to my conference every day just to stay and enjoy it! With a bathroom upgrade to more modern standards it would be fantastic.

It's an 1870's old home but it's been well renovated. Bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast's were first class. Staff was excellent.
Cable TV was sporadic at best and the blinds didn't work on the windows.

Very nice historic detail. Breakfast was wonderful. Owners are very helpful and made great suggestions for outside dining (loved Lilly’s).
Only issue is that St.John is a noisy city (trains going by at night blast horns). Not a problem of the inn - any hotel, inn in the area has the issue.
