A little disappointed in Padua
My 3rd visit but this time was disappointing. Lots of renovations going on at the moment which are very loud and we weren’t informed prior to the visit.
We paid the extra money to upgrade to a new room with a good view to be put right above the building work, so then had to be moved into the annex at the back of the hotel.
The girls on the front desk had spoken about compensation through free breakfasts but the manager dismissed this and said we had an upgraded room just not the view!

Very nice place in the center of the city, close to the public transportation and major attractions. Just one hour away from Venice by public transportation. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We booked car parking ahead of time, so we didn't have any issues with it.

No frills, good location.
Good location and nice view of St Anthony’s Cathedral from the room. The communal areas of the hotel were much grander and smarter than the room itself, which was decorated very simply almost like a travel lodge, with no historic features or decorative touches…which seemed strange in a historic building with a smart reception area. But I think the hotel is probably mostly used by pilgrims to St Anthony’s Shrine, so perhaps it is kept simple on purpose.
Downside was that no one mentioned you had to reserve car parking in advance, so there was none available when we arrived. Luckily there was actually cheaper on-street parking right outside the hotel, and we were lucky to find a space.

Nice staying
We have stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, as part of a longer trip in the north of Italy.
The room was very large and comfortable. Apparently, recently renewed. Very clean and tidy
We have also taken parking space which facilitated our stay
The location is really good, right in front of San Antonio di Padova cathedral and just few blocks from main (and beautiful) square
Breakfast was ok
Overall, a nice experience at Casa delle peregrino

We are a family of 4 and this is our first overseas trip. We loved the location of the hotel . We felt very safe. Everything was walkable and it was super close to the Basilica of Saint Anthony.
The room had everything we needed and a great price. We would definitely stay again.

Close to Basillica of St. Anthony. Good value but facilities were limited and we felt isolated in a different building. Staff interaction was not very friendly. The buildings and the nearby area felt very run down.

Parking is available. There was construction so it was slightly challenging to park and to exit. We booked 2 rooms. One was great (Galileo Residence) and one was pretty shabby (main "hotel" area). If staying, select the Galileo Residence. Otherwise, conveniently located and great for walking, taking pictures, and relaxing.
