Amazing property in the centre of old Malang city. Walking distance from the blue, rainbow and heritage kampungs. Staff was very friendly and made sure all our needs were met. The hotel has 2 in-house restaurants and we also made use of the spa (which was amazing). Definitely pinned this hotel for possible future visits. A jewel of East Java. Staying at Tugu is an experience in its own right … with an internationally important art collection on display, a feature pool, afternoon tea, a fine cocktail bar and dining options on site. Truly the most attentive staff and helpful staff. My one suggestion is to better inform guests of breakfast options available to them … although priced differently (but still reasonably) the a la carte is a substantially different offering for European guests compared with the buffet. An all round exceptional and memorable experience.

This property has so much personality and Pak Bagus and his team that run it do such a great job even if the rooms are a bit dark and slightly tired and in need of a refresh.
