A very competitively priced, very new hotel with a lot of amenities. The room was quite comfortable. But still some bugs: the only window and source of natural light in our room was a room-wide picture window next to the bed that opening onto a sidewalk with pedestrians and a busy street. Opening the curtain to let in light essentially turned the room into a show-room window for anybody walking by. Need some translucent, view-blocking curtains.
At the same time, probably not the hotel you want if you don’t have a car: it’s some 15 km from downtown, 12 from bus and train stations, and 15 from the airport. Worse, we asked the hotel to call a taxi to take us to the airport, which with a meter should have cost 16 to 20 Euros, the hotel called a van taxi it apparently uses. In other countries we usually ask the price of a trip before getting in, but in a month of travel in Spain, every single taxi has used the meter and prices have been very reasonable. This time we should have asked: when we arrived at the airport the driver announced that we owed 45 euros, more than double the meter rate. As a last experience of the hotel and day, unfortunately left a bad taste.
