Upon check in there was a child working the desk and told us we had to wait to check in until other man came back from doing rounds ( not sure what that meant). After waiting for apx 20 min the guy shows up only to tell us they have no reservation for us. Luckily we had our email showing other wise. Finally got into our room. Very outdated and run down. Sheets were clean and that was the only thing that was. Bathroom had mold all over the place. Shower head only had three streams of water coming out of it. They had air conditioning on in the room and when switching it over to heat it smelled like it was burning something. Turned it off in fear of catching room on fire. No security locks on doors from outside into building. Had cleaning services vacuuming hallways at 1 in the morning. Upon check out employee was sleeping on a sofa in lounge, did not realize he was the employee but looked more like a guest. Would not recommend this place at all.

Overbooked and left out in the cold
I booked a room and paid via hotels.com the day of my stay, from St. Paul, as part of a trip, just looking for a place to sleep a few hours before starting out again. At the time, the site said there were, like, 5 rooms available, so got through every screen and was confirmed, so I thought I was good to go. I started out toward the stay on a 3.5 hour drive, and with about 45 minutes to my destination, at around 8:30 pm, I get a call from the hotel saying they overbooked and I was out of a room. They were able to give me a refund, but as far as helping me find a different room or a stipend of some sort to find a place to stay that may have been more expensive, they were not willing to help. The person making the call seemed ok, but management was less than helpful. I would be incredibly wary of booking this stay.

Right when we walked in, the room smelled like mold. I sprayed perfume to lessen the smell but it was still bad. Shower curtains were dirty, walls were cracked and dirty. We only stayed because we needed a place to sleep for the night. I would never come back again.

The bathrooms were dirty and outdated the bedding was dirty when we checked in and I had went to my car to grab my cigarettes and a broken meth pipe went through my shoe when I stepped on it and they felt there was nothing wrong with what happened and they wouldn’t be giving me a refund

I walked into the lobby and encountered a horror. There was no one at the front desk. A lady in front of me was struggling to check in at the kiosk, she was clearly facing difficulty to understand. I left the hotel immediately without staying. This is the lowest standard of customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Check in was virtual , printer wasnt working, pool was closed and not disclosed when I booked. The coffee in the lobby was cold both at check in and in the morning. No coffee makers in the room. Curtain was ripped and did not close completly. Over all not good.

Totally Disgusting - AVOID!!!!
We did not stay because the property was disgusting. It was not clean, the carpets were stained, there was trash in the hallways, the surfaces had sticky stuff on them and it smelled bad.

6/10 Good

The check in process was very odd and impersonal being a remotely operated kiosk. I was assisted by a a friendly and helpful worker which was nice. The room was fairly clean but the freezer compartment of the fridge was absolutely filthy (the rest of the fridge was clean) and the bathroom floor was pretty sticky. The A/C was very weak but somewhat functional. Overall it was an ok stay for a quick overnight stop.

I didnt like that it took me over an hr to get into my room because the locking mechanisms were not working properly... The cable cords for the tv were detective... They didnt offer coffee in the lobby for customers going to work before 6am..... Staff was unfriendly and place was dirty

This hotel apparently doesn't have desk staff for check-in, everything is handled by someone on a video call at a kiosk. Whatever person they had on the other end of this video call took an abysmal amount of time to click the check-in button as they stared blankly at the camera. Besides that, to validate your id they have you put it on a scanner that takes a picture of it and WHO KNOWS where that data goes. Very sketchy—they also had me SCAN THE BACK OF MY CREDIT CARD (including cvv). This doesn't seem PCI-compliant; they said they had to do this because the credit card reader "wasn't working" so I had to scan the back of my card on the ID scanner. The whole thing seemed like a scam, and I will NOT be staying at this hotel ever again. Protip: Have a real person at the desk, nobody wants to talk to a scam call center operator on a video screen when they check into a hotel.

The desk was a kiosk with two way video of a remote manager. Chevking in was a bit of a process because the card trader and keypad were inop. The room was tidy and clean. The toilet seat was very loose. The shower tile had black mould. The pool looked n8ce but both itand the hot tub were closed the whole time we were there. The halways smeloed unpleasant. We have stayed at this place years ago and there has been no updating, so painted fixtures like doors are thickbwith paint. There was needed maintenance and items in repair with no one working. Not a single guest we conversed with spoke english. The staff was very local however and very helpful. The price was super low, so I guess its a tradeoff.
