POWER! or lack of
Good location for transport to bruges & hotel a good price. But no reception staff or facilities (time of year?). We had no power in the room 212. Got moved to the next floor, room 107, but no power there either or heating, so returned our stuff back to 212 where briefly he was able to get power on to.There was an emergency phone number, but we only found this the next day during the move on the 1st floor. We lost a couple of hours trying to sort the room out, which was annoying. To be fair the man who was trying to help us brought up a couple of small bottles of champagne to say sorry. Also your website said breakfast was available. Not this time of year it would seem! we didn't find anywhere locally for food. A double bed was booked, but ended up with twin beds, and an unlocked door into room 213! With no way to lock this door, we barricaded it in case someone else had booked 213. Overall, not impressed by Hotels.com.... although an email to you got the janitor to call us (He was miffed that we hadnt called him, but the sign with this number was on a floor that we just weren't). Odd experience, but the area is brilliant for public transport and beach, and the hotel had a faded grandeur to it.
