Compass hotel was amazing from the time we pulled into valet parking until the time we left. The lobby smelled so good. Everything was spotless. Rose at check in was very helpful and friendly. Check in process was a breeze. Our room was nice and cozy. The beds were firm but new. The shower was amazing.Did I mention the shower was amazing? The pool area has a waterslide and splash pad area. Outside pool area closed due to weather but the hot tub was open. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast buffet was good overall. Pancakes, eggs,bacon,fruit Rose, you were right, We will definitely return to compass for our stays in pigeon forge.

Great stay in Pigeon Forge
We decided to take a long weekend getaway to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area and thought we'd give this hotel a try. So glad we did! The hotel is pretty new (November?) and was absolutely spotless. Our room was one of the biggest standard king room we've ever stayed in. It felt like a rental condo more than a hotel room. The furnishings were so nice that we were trying to figure out what brand they were! The bathroom was huge, with a wonderful rainfall shower. We personally thought the mattress was a bit too firm and the pillows were pretty flat, but the staff provided us with a mattress topper to help. This is also a personal preference thing, so I wouldn't call it a negative in general. The restaurant / bar onsite had great food, especially the chips and salsa/queso appetizer! Our drinks were a bit weak, which was ironic coming from a bar at a Margaritaville hotel, but they were all served quickly by very attentive wait staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel. In fact, we're planning to return this summer with our family to try out their lazy river!
