Beautiful old building with stately high ceilings and very spacious rooms. There is a playing field across the road but not very noisy. It wasn"t perfect but excellent value and very close to the airport with free parking.

Got told off by the man at the desk as soon as we arrived & told if we make any noise we would be thrown out…this is before he even said hello. Terrible customer service. The whole place felt unsafe & everyone we told where we were staying said we would have been safer on the street. No fridge in the room so you’ll need to buy new milk everyday. Bring your own towels too as ours had strange marks on them. In the morning 3 what appeared to be junkies were getting kicked out & were shouting about their sound bar being stolen by staff. It’s all round a horrid place to stay. NEVER TAKE CHILDREN HERE!! it’s definitely not family friendly. A lot of people just out of prison due to covid were also staying. It’s more of a homeless shelter than a hotel.

Not The Best
Car park is confusing as looks like it’s pay and display however you input your reg into a tablet at reception for free parking but nothing outside to tell you that. Had to ring bell a few times but eventually got in, check in was fine and receptionist was pleasant. We had room 4 in the basement, when we went down the basement was stinking of smoke which isn’t great. Once we got into the room you could see these rooms are tried. The carpet has several cigarette burns on it, the bathroom wet wall has cracks and the sink was covered in rust. Parts of the shower mechanism was also missing. The bed was OK but mattress was very thin. The bedding was clean which was the most important thing. Towels had holes in them but appeared to be clean. Unfortunately the biggest thing was the constant noise from the room next door. There was constant shouting and music that lasted until 2.30AM. We we then woken by a phone alarm going off at 5AM that was snoozed and then went off again constantly. This went on for nearly an hour and you hear everything since the walls are paper thin. There was also several times during the stay the room was stinking of smoke, not sure if this was from another room or in from the window but again not great. Bottom line it’s a cheap but very tired hotel.

Hotel in industrial/residential area
The room was very well appointed, but there are no facilities in the immediate vicinity for food, other than a fish and chip take away. The wifi code provided did not work and at check in was not advised of an alternative passcode. The area is part residential, part industrial so not somewhere you can have great views from your room.

Worst, dirtiest hotel ever
This is the worst, dirtiest 'hotel' I have ever seen. The carpet was worn and badly stained. The curtains were paper thin and badly stained. Loads of dirt and dust on the skirting boards. The runner on the bed was worn and had lots of fluff sticking to it. Masking tape used to cover an incomplete installation of shower tray. Shower drain has never been cleaned! Toilet seat the flimsiest plastic I've ever seen. The radiators took over 2 hours to get to a decent temperature after they came on, and did not stay on overnight, despite it being quite cold. They were also stained and filthy with dust.

It is a travesty that this place can even call itself a hotel. I would not even board my dog here. Didn't even stay here. After waiting more than 5 minutes to get in, took one look at the reception and guy running the place, about turned and walked out.
