Love Quebec City
It was a little confusing when we arrived not knowing where to park to unload our luggage. Nick at the restaurant was really helpful on where to park to unload and where to park for the 2 day stay. It was a beautiful hotel in a nice area of the city. A nice walk to the wall made it easy to experience the old Quebec. The restaurant had excellent food and the staff were really nice. I would have no qualms in returning for another stay or recommending it to friends.

Nice rooms but noone at front desk. Must call a central front desk service that covers several hotels. Very centrally located.

Uncomfortable rooms with poor layout
The hotel is new so may still be working out issues. The people that I met were friendly, the rooms were clean & breakfast was good. Several problems exist so I would not recommend the hotel to anyone: 1) the street was closed for a month-long festival and the hotel did not warn me or give me alternate instructions for how to drop off our luggage. The only person that I met was a restaurant manager and he didn't know what to tell me. 2) There is no desk staff there on a scheduled basis, so getting help with extra towels, questions about the neighborhood, etc could not be answered. 3) There was no phone # on the confirmation. Someone in the restaurant gave me a # to call, but the phone menu tree was in French only. I was having trouble with the wifi and my email and the woman who answered did not understand what email was, she kept referring to text messages. 4) There was no information in the room about hotel amenities (like laundry service) or area. 5) The room design is weird! You can only watch tv while in bed, it can't be seen or heard from other areas of the rm 6) The lights next to bed are too dim to read with and the lighting in the other areas is blocked from the bed 7) The hall light turns itself on sometime in the early morning (5am) 8) seating in the rm is uncomfortable to sit on for long 9) t-paper roll is hard to reach 10) There's only 1 rod in the bathrm for towels so no place to put towels after use to dry or to hang wet clothes (no shower curtain rod)

Wait and see when they’re ready to go… Newly refurbished, but not quite there. The room was great - quiet and well appointed. The new lighting control on one nightstand was functional, but it’s install wasn’t complete. One light seemed to be sound controlled and turned on on its own early every morning. We also had a problem with the e-check in and bluetooth key system, but that was quickly solved with a phone call and a hard fob. Our room had direct access to a shared balcony. The space was great for a nightcap and nightlife watching. It is, though, unclear who else will have access to this space. This may be an issue further down the road, if other patrons are loud at night outside this room. Bathroom and shower were great with good temperature and water pressure. A/C was set at a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. Access is through the restaurant, and I am not sure how one would gain access after hours. Also, the hotel and restaurant are under different management. The restaurant also cultivates an “exclusive” feel, so more than once our tired tourist selves got disapproving looks from the hostess stand. The location is very walkable, with easy access to the Plains of Abraham park. It is a restaurant and entertainment strip, and a longer walk to the old town. A cash-only bodega is nearby for quick needs, but a supermarket is a much further walk. Fantastic BBQ place just a few doors down. Caveats in mind, would certainly stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay. We were in town to indulge our senses with delicious food, sightseeing and just being immersed in it’s rich history. Hotel Maurice was the perfect hotel for us. One thing that surprised me was no parking, but after figuring out that parking is just a few minutes away - everything was ok. The hotel is so perfectly situated that we didn’t ever need our car. The decor and furnishings of the room were beautiful and posh. The breakfast that was included with our stay was delicious. It’s an old building with its quirks and charm and we were absolutely delighted with our stay.

Beautiful hotel right on in the middle of a lot. The hotel room was really nice and the shower was great. we were in room 301 and it had a balcony which was one of my favorite parts. I love people watching. great food in the area too. only thing is this is a very modern hotel. there is no reception or concierge there. you download an app to access your room. it is your room key and if you need something you have to text them. this is definitely a hotel for young people but other than that I highly recommend this hotel.
