I booked this property due to an unexpected disruption in my flight plans and had to stay the night near Dulles. The hotel was close to the airport and provided a free shuttle, which was convenient. However, the hotel is located in a light industrial area, which didn't really offer much other venues to explore. The hotel is about a 5 minute drive from the Metro, or about a 20 minute walk. There was a shuttle to the airport, and a shuttle that picked up / dropped off around the local area, including the Metro station.
At the hotel itself, my room was quite modern, and relatively spacious. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel also boasts a relatively well-equipped gym, which I appreciated. The wifi was good, but you needed to be a Marriott member - it was free to sign up, but it was just a bit annoying to get all my devices onto the network.
The only challenge I had at this property was the shuttle. The front desk told me I could only book the shuttle 2-3 hours in advance, and not the night before. That was a bit inconvenient. When the shuttle did arrive, I couldn't hear the driver make any announcements, which caused me to miss my shuttle even though I was waiting in the lobby. Having a designated waiting area would have been helpful.
Overall, a generally good hotel. I'll have to be more careful with the shuttle next time.
