The staff were absolutely wonderful and the room was extremely clean, large, and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and I will absolutely stay here again for my next trip to Funchal. Was able to walk to Old Town shops and the boardwalk within 10-12 minutes and could have used the bus stops if I had needed.

Peaceful and green
I absolutely loved this hotel. It’s so beautiful and historic. It’s in a quiet area although there are dogs near by that bark all the time. Can be fixed with earplugs . Within walking distance of tons of restaurants and shops. Very peaceful vibes here!!

Lovely place near Funchal city. Our room was spacious and we had a great view over the harbour. Bathroom and kitchenett great. But - we were missing a shelf above the zink. The hotel is situated on a hillside in a peaceful area near Funchal's old town, offering stunning views of the city and the surrounding mountains. While the property has not been recently updated, the facilities are clean and comfortable. The staff is exceptionally friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The breakfast is good, although it was not included in the room price. The old town is less than a kilometer away, but be prepared for a steep hill. The city center is also conveniently located about a kilometer away. The area offers plenty of enjoyable activities, such as the cable car ride, the botanical garden, and the unique experience of riding traditional wooden sledges.
