We booked this hotel through Hotels.com a few months prior to our stay for after a football game. 2 rooms for 1 night. We had called on our way to see if we could have early check in or at least drop our bags to be taken to the rooms when they were ready as we knew that we would not get there until late in the evening. No. They wouldn't do that. Fine. No big deal. We arrived at the Fallon and began to check in with a man at the front desk who said the hotel is his place. He then tells us that they are overbooked and it was hotels.com's fault for all of this and not his responsibility at all. If we want a refund call hotels.com. We had to scramble to find a Holiday Inn about an hour away that had availability. We are now working with hotels.com to get our money back. An email from them states "We're currently chasing The Fallon Hotel on your refund request." If you are planning on staying here we highly suggest that call to make sure that you will actually have a place to sleep. And....there is a "club" or something in this hotel that is so loud you cannot talk on your phone in the lobby. Not sure what it's like in the rooms but it has to be loud. There's a reason this place gets 5/10 stars!!

The Hotel appears to be in the midst of a renovation that appears to have suddenly halted a few years back. People are nice but rooms dirty and scary. Also, there’s a night club or something downstairs? Odd

This place is a dump. Like a flophouse from the 50’s. My room was ancient, bathroom dirty and falling apart. The hotel itself resembles a tenement. The staff is very nice though.

This property is very rustic, a lot of very old features. However, bed and mattress were very comfortable.

No AC, very stuffy to sleep at night with just a fan and can't open windows. The light switch for the bathroom doesn't work and you need to reach for the lamp switch on top of the mirror (difficult if short). The sink dripped the whole time. There were extremely limited outlets - just two behind the bed that you had to dig for (the TV & Coffee machine couldn't be used because they were unplugged). You can hear the birds chirping at 5a from the room and curtains doesn't block out light (the lights that shines the front of the hotel also shines into your room)

Disappointing stay
We arrived at 4pm for check in. There was no front desk attendant. There was loud music playing in the lobby with repetitive curse words (not the restaurant). There were childrens toys scattered all throughout the lobby. I called the number listed at front desk. Someone answered saying there would be someone arriving in 20 minutes. 40 minutes go by and we called again. After multiple calls someone finally arrived an hour later. We had an event to get ready for. She upgraded us to a bigger room. When we arrived in the room we realized why there was no pics of bathroom online when booking the hotel. The bathtub dripped continuously during entire stay. Bathtub was converted into shower by 2 curtains but made water splash over bathroom. The bathtub had a hair from whomever stayed there previously. The sink was rusted and disgusting. The sample shampoo/conditioner/body washes were half empty, surely being used by previous tenant. There was a stain on one of our bath towels. Since our room was on 2nd floor of an older building, it was muggy and stuffy. I will note there was no A/C listed in the amenities and it was overlooked on our part. However, the ceiling fan in room was only thing to help. Next morning when we left to grab coffee, came back, and then we checked out, there was no worker to be seen all morning.
