I enjoyed my stay at the Signature. The staff are very welcoming, and the facilities are good. Location wise it's excellent, right next to Bugis Junction and the Raffles Hotel is within walking distance.
But there were a few things that need improvement.
I had no hot water for my entire stay (3-nights). This wasn't a problem as it was so hot, but still worth mentioning, if you need it.
The layout of the shower and toilet in my room was absolutely ridiculous (room 301). Whoever designed that should be held accountable. For a grown adult to get into the shower and close the door was near impossible. I just about managed it by pushing myself against the wall. Terrible design!! No spacial awareness at all.
The window for room 301 looks out onto the communal balcony area. Therefore every time someone entered that space, they could look into my room! I was extremely uncomfortable with this.
I raised this issue with a staff member and was dismissed. I was told, "no-one really uses that space, so don't worry". This was not true. I had several guests and cleaners look into my room, as I was in bed! The point of booking a room with a window is to keep the blind open and receive natural light. I felt very restricted with this.
To make matters worse, there is a table and chair set placed directly next to the window! This should at least be removed.
Furthermore the cleaners are extremely noisy. Expect to be woken up by them stomping around the corridor each morning.
