The staff at Orchid Hotel are very kind and welcoming. They set up our room special for our honeymoon and provided a free cake as well, which was so nice. They were attentive and helpful with tips for things to do. The area around the hotel can be quite noisy at night, making rest difficult for light sleepers. The building itself is a bit stale and could use a refresh. We felt as though our 'Romance Room' did not match the photos here on Expedia.

Wonderful Hotel
We loved the Orchid Hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the staff was wonderful. They arranged our train tickets, a tour and laundry for us. The only downside was that the hotel is located on a busy street and it is noisy at night.

Wonderful staff: friendly, helpful. Breakfasts were very good. Hotel is a bit old, but charming. Located in a neighborhood with lots of bars and discotheques, whose DJs competed to see who had the best amps. Hotel not very soundproof. Great place for young people who like that type of action.

From a high floor the view was exciting especially at night. Room was large with a Jacuzzi. Breakfast was tasty and unlimited and not buffet style as they served us at our table. Staff was very friendly and helpful specially Emma and Kaity. Many dining options nearby.

Very clean, comfortable, well appointed hotel. Small and personable. Good location, walkable to all the main sites. We were there for the opening ceremonies for their reunification day. Lots of local cultures and festivities. The breakfast was homemade, to your preference. They provided a tour of the city with a wonderful tour guide, Ruby. I highly recommend.

Great location and great staff
The staff is so helpful and kind. When we arrived, Lin sat with us and showed us where the sites were and asked if we needed help setting anything up. Lin set up two sight seeing trips and both were awesome. We needed laundry done and it came back in less than 6 hours. In the morning, Lin and Ruby were cheerful and started our day with a smile.

The Orchid is a small hotel providing modest comforts - the room was very comfortable and quiet, a relaxing space to return to after a day's outing; the hotel is well positioned for easy walking to numerous restaurants, cafes and shops nearby, and to the river and over the bridge to the market and Citadel. The stand-out feature is the brilliant staff - enthusiastic, welcoming, friendly and ready to help with anything you need.
