A magnificent property, with a spacious room, apparently some Marquis lived there in the 1700’s. Rooms were very historical looking , but had a/c, tv, etc.Bathroom was very modern and functional. If we ever went back to Salerno we would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous!
This beautiful hotel spoiled us for the rest of our trip. The rooms were big and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and it was wonderful to have access to the room with tea and biscuits at all time of the day. We had 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms which was fabulous for our teen. The location was also great - not too far a walk to the train or the harbor as well as restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

The two hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating. The decor is unlike any other hotel you will ever stay in. If you want an experience that isn’t a standard hotel room, this is for you.

4/10 Fair

The apartment itself is beautiful as the pictures indicate ….however there is a bar and an alley in front of the building that is so loud we ended leaving a night early. They really should warn how noisy it is

Alexis was very gracious host. He gets his workouts by offering to assist with carrying luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast more than adequate and a washer allowed us to catch up on laundry. Rooms are maintained very well despite being in older building. A detailed book is maintained which tells you everything you need to know. We thoroughly loved staying at Casa.

8/10 Very Good

Alexis and Angelo were wonderful. The space is gorgeous, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and it was easy to find. There was some loud music late night one night that made for a rough sleep but Angelo and Alexis made sure that it didn’t happen again. Casa Santangelo is a wonderful stop in Salerno if you want to get away from the crowds of the hotels with easy access to ferries, restaurants, and other sites.

8/10 Very Good

The property was pretty cool but it is a Bed and Breakfast not a hotel. The person on site was great and helpful. The area was good and walkable but there was a dog barking constantly at night and first thing in the morning from a neighbouring building that was very loud and obnoxious.

Great Charming Place
Great charming bed & breakfast spot. Alexis speaks great English and was very helpful. His breakfast spread is better than any Italian bakery, making a nice start to the morning. The 1800’s room was like sleeping in another time period. Highly recommend.

The city of lights at Christmas….Salerno
Alexis was very attentive and resolved any small problems that might have soured a very wonderful stay in Salerno during this city’s magical Christmas lights display…Plus the restored beauty of the rooms put a regal atmosphere to the whole experience and that final touch of a decorated Christmas tree in each room, made the season whole….

Authentically Cool…
This property is a hidden gem. The proprietor, Alexis, has thought of literally everything. This would make an excellent home base from which to explore the Amalfi coast. Wish we had stayed a couple of days but had to be back to Rome early the next day for a flight. Alexis was up early and had breakfast for us and saw us off. His recommendations for bars, restaurants and sights in Salerno made our brief stay memorable and guarantees a return. Cannot understate how cool the property is and how wonderful the location is to get out into Salerno.

One of my favourite hotels I've ever stayed at
This is a hidden gem in the old town part of Saleno. Alexis, the host, pays attention to every detail and it feels like you're living in a movie. There is a great breakfast and perfect location to base yourself in when exploring Saleno.
