Front desk - unfriendly!
The front desk staff were so unfriendly, not willing to move us closer to the beach considering nobody was at the resort. The rooms had hair on the floor under the beds (we booked 3 rooms). The first day nobody cleaned the room . The only person who was nice was a maintenance worker who set us up at the fire pit one night

Booked through Hotels.com and didnt get the room "type" booked on the site. The on-site manager at the Madison said they have been having that issue when people book on the apps. In this case, "Ocean View" did not really qualify as Ocean View....

The hotel was nice. The elevator leaves much to be desired. It is old, very small and takes too long to go up just four flights. It’s actually scary riding in it. Staff was friendly and courteous. Pool area was very clean at all times. Shuttle service that was provided is a wonderful thing. Car can stayed parked at all times.

2/10 Poor

Bathroom was dirty. Pink and yellow slime all over the shower curtain bottom and the grout in between the shower tiles had a pink slime. Hole in the bathroom wall where a hook/fixture was. Bathroom had strong urine and chemical odor to it the entire time. Room was poorly put together with the bedside table screwed into the wall completely blocking the outlets. There is a large drop from the entrance into the room with no warning where we all tripped and fell. The music was so loud until 930 at night. Not ideal for a family with young kids. The elevator could only fit 4 people and was consistently getting stuck and was filthy. There was a dead bug on the floor in a pile of dirt in the elevator the entirety of our stay. The lack of a system for the shuttle was frustrating. There was no consistent pick up time or drop off time or pick up/drop off location. Plus minimal parking with an ENTIRE lot for only valet which people were not utilizing. The ONLY good thing about the hotel was the friendly and courteous staff who were always helpful and kind and went above and beyond.

2/10 Poor

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Madison Resort Wildwood from August 16th to 18th, 2024. My birthday weekend was ruined by multiple service failures, falling far short of the expected standards for a resort. At check-in, I was informed that my reserved cabana, booked a month in advance, had been double-booked. This was a significant inconvenience, especially since the cabana remained unoccupied all day. While I appreciate the offered refund, it doesn't make up for my disrupted birthday plans. Additionally, there was a severe breach of privacy when a staff member entered our room without permission twice. The second time, at 9:47 PM, occurred despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign, which was particularly distressing and unacceptable. The room amenities were also lacking. The king-sized bed had standard pillows, the comforter was insufficiently thin, and the "ocean view" was obstructed by dunes. The floor was cold with bubbles, and no rug was provided. The resort's atmosphere was quiet, and though the sister resort offered live entertainment; the advertised daily DJ was absent—only piped-in music played on one side of the pool. Given the high cost of accommodations, I expected a much higher level of service and amenities. Unfortunately, my experience fell short. I hope Madison Resorts will take these issues seriously and make the necessary changes to prevent future occurrences.

Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The bedroom was a bit small as well as the balcony walkways but I understand why. Everything is kind of cramped when it comes to hotels in this area. Parking was not easy, but the valet was definitely a benefit. Very friendly staff and service. Their first ever Luau was pretty cool too. Access to the beach was great with complimentary chairs and umbrellas. The pool had a cool vibe each day as well. Would definitely recommend over almost anything else at the boardwalk.

Worst stay ever at Madison Resort
I did not get the room that I booked with you. The manager, Justin said that’s what I get with going through a third party and not direct. I also stated checkin was 45 minutes late and when we finally got the wrong room and there weren’t any towels in the room. We went to desk and requested towels and they tried to tell us we will get them in the morning. Terrible customer service. I will never stay there again. The manager stated that hotels, inc. overcharged me 100.00 and that’s what I get for using them. so I said what about the towels and Justin said throw in that complaint while you are at it. I would give them a 4. We can’t make anything right because you didn’t book thru us. Now what kind of service and attitude is this?

Overall a very nice clean hotel for families. Beautiful pool area on the beach with very nice pool staff and pretty front desk area. Small kinks need to be fixed to make it perfect in my opinion. We stayed in the updated Ocean Tower. Beds were not that comfortable, especially the pullout sofa. No overhead lighting in rooms and only a few small lamps in the room and one bulb was out. We called for a bulb but never got it. No USB outlets in room for charging phones, tablets, etc. The outlet near the bed oddly was blocked by the small shelf wall unit. In room 304, we did not have an outdoor table that other rooms had. No bedding was provided for pullout and had to call twice to get it. Could be a great hotel if small issues are worked out because guests always remember the little things.
