Strange Hotel
Came down for breakfast. No staff around and no breakfast available.
Unable to give room key to anyone on check out and had to leave front door unlocked as a result.
Most peculiar.

Loved the bed(Bass room)!
Magnificent place to stay, only feedback is:
No rubbish bin for tissues/teabags/bottles etc
No privacy for the toilet
( a folding screen) would make such a difference.
Then I would give it five stars😃

The boutique hotel felt warm and inviting and well located in the Main Street. We stayed in the Boyd Room which had era furnishing making our stay even more interesting. The bed was comfortable although I would recommend reducing decorative pillows as they take up available space in the room which is reduced already by a bath tub that would seem unnecessary in a small space. The pizzas were amazing, very tasty and cooked to perfection.

Great stop over from Sydney to Melbourne. Easy to find and very accommodating staff. The place was renovated 2 years ago and it shows in every room. The tubs in the room are cute and the en-suite bathrooms were lovely with a shower. Off season was great. I was told it is very busy during summer months.

I loved the uniqueness of all the different decor of the rooms. I loved that the heritage had been salvaged and restored from the lath and plaster wall and the possum marked bricks in the bar area to the pressed metal ceilings and fire places. The chandeliers were beautiful and crockery high end. The attributes are too numerous to mention. The whole place is wonderful.

Beautifully renovated but the room I stayed in was poorly designed which made for an underwelming stay. Fortunately I was solo so the "open plan" toilet did not bother me. I would suggest pulling the two king singles out and replacing with a queen or double, doing away with most of the styling pillows (I had to find space for 8 of them), creating privacy in the bathroom (or clearly warning guests before booking), and expand the area for tea and coffee making. The property was expensive, beautiful and yet not at all enjoyable. I would not stay again.
