Owner/ check in person wasn’t in the office but in his room smoking and on the phone. Had to knock on his door. Came out and was complaining about staff being on a trip and other customers not knowing what they wanted. No towels, no soaps, and was dark and meh. Suppose it is what you pay for being the cheapest option in the area. Would not go back. Would stay down the road at other motel.

DO NOT GO HERE AVOID AT ANY COST!! PROBABLY THE WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER BEEN TO. Do yourself a favor pay the extra price and go to one across the road. Probably the dirtiest oldest hotel I've ever been to. Was worried about bugs all night had to sleep with light on

2/10 Poor

Totally run down....few things worked...garbage bag on door window, lamp with no plug in, no air circ., rusted and old heaters....terrible man running place, angry, says doesn't take res. til 4 even though paid and reassured check-in at 11, no record of reservation, called Italy to see if I was reserved, terrible treatment of people asking for room, says only books 1/day and doesn't know until 4 who's coming. Bizarre behaviour...wouldn't even look on phone at my Expedia reservation. Toilet didn't work. Disgraceful all around...terrible bed, pillows if you can call them that and bedding. Smelled badly. Should be condemned and Jeff institutionalized. Another motel said people run from it and rebook elsewhere. Words fail me. Charged on top of Expedia and had to make several calls for Expedia to investigate. Don't even think about staying here. Ranted on about how overworked he is and how people wreck rooms. Thought he was going to physically attack us.

Awful staff working nights
I am in the process of moving from Ontario to Alberta. I booked this stay for the 24/7 front desk - as there are not many options during my trek to stop for sleep. I didn’t have high expectations - however upon check in I was greeted by a very angry staff member who was visibly intoxicated and could smell alcohol on his breath. He was very rude and told me to leave because “check in was at 3” - I maintained my composure because I needed somewhere to sleep. I politely told him that I had already paid for the room. He eventually gave me a room. Whomever owns this residence needs to do some wellness checks. Whoever this staff is, does not provide even decent service. He also turned off the vacancy sign. And was smoking when I walked in. I would really like a refund, as this was beyond horrible. I’m disgusted at the treatment I received.

Motel n good location close to good restaurant. But it is very basic - 1950’s era and no improvements since. No Kleenex or extra toilet paper in bathroom - we ran out.

Positives: Has bed, cable tv, electric heat, paved driveway, luxurious 50 count bedding and twinkle lights. AC units available. Conveniently located next to the OPP (just in case) and across from a rail yard (for you trainspotters). I’m all for budget travel but the only thing missing from this stay was Norman Bates mother who may very well have been in the abandoned house next door.

Rooms need basic maintenance. Our screen door was broken and run down. But for the price, room was clean, water hot, bed firm. It's outdated with panelled walls, but a good place to sleep.

Room was Dated but clean. No fan or Ac for those hot nights. Location is close to the road and at the beginning of the town. You will hear a lot of trucks gearing down random times throughout the night to slow down for speed limits. On a budget it and don’t mind some noise.
