Comfortable hotel - stayed in a triple which was good for our purposes. Two twin beds together for my husband and me and then another twin bed for our daughter. Close to the metro and easy to get a taxi nearby as well. Seemed like a safe area and pretty centrally located.

Great property in the middle of it all. La Rambla, Gothic Quart and Plaça Cataluña all within walking distance. Universitat stop around the corner takes you straight to basilica SF. Beautiful property and rooms. Great breakfast. Very pleased. Will return and recommend. Best part is they have lockers for luggage for days when you arrive or leave.

Our room was very nice, cleaned daily with an excellent shower. All you need on a city break, where you are generally out most of the day. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Book taxis via them, it was cheaper. I did not use the breakfast facility, but it looked nice. The hotel is very clean and tidy and situated within short proximity to some local bars and cafes and 3 minute walk to the Universistad Metro and 20 minutes walk to The Ramblas area.

Nice hotel
The hotel was very nice. We arrived several hours early of check in time. They had a room with lockers to stow our luggage. They had several lounge areas that were very nice. They served a breakfast everyday but it was about $13 per person. We didn’t use it because there was a yummy bakery around the corner. At night the street noise filtered in but by midnight it was quiet. Great location 3 or 4 blocks from the Hop on Hop off bus stop.

On paper, the hotel is very good; the location is great, everything is clean, and the rooms are spacious enough. However, the stay ended up being an absolute nightmare. First up, the air conditioning: the room was very chilly, and the temperature could not be changed. If that were the only problem, we probably would've been ok. The bigger problem was that every sound from the busy streets and surrounding rooms could be heard loud and clear, making the room near impossible to sleep in, which I would consider to be the main use of a hotel room. We barely slept an hour during the entire night we stayed at the hotel, and were just happy that we only had to stay at the hotel for one night.

We stayed here recently for 2 nights at the end of our trip and it was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. We arrived late at night around 1:00am (we had already informed the hotel of our late arrival) & when our cab driver pulled up to the hotel we were sure there had been some mistake. The building was completely dark, no lights on, and looked like an apt building. We walked up and rang the doorbell twice with no answer. Panic started to set in as we stood on the street. All of a sudden a staff member appeared from behind the desk, he had been sleeping. He let us in and then proceeded to check us in in the dark. Couldn't even be bothered to turn on a light. He was strange and awkward and the whole situation was just unsettling. We got to our room and it was a bigger one than we had booked which was an upside. The room strongly smelled, and the decor was dated and drab. However, the worst part was that we had a street facing room and the windows are single paned with no soundproofing. If you value your sleep, do not book this hotel. We could hear every single street noise all night and did not sleep for the 2 nights we stayed here. A housekeeper also barged into our room one morning while I was still in bed. I would not recommend staying here at all, there are far better hotels in Barcelona.
