The surroundings of this hotel are absolutely beautiful, the scenery is stunning. Pool area is lovely and quiet most of the time, we even had the whole pool to ourselves a few times. The people that own the hotel are very nice, they will help you out as best they can. We had understood from the room amenities that are advertised that we would have a kitchen, we were delighted with this because we thought that we could cook lunch and dine out in the evening, but the issue was that a "private kitchen" meant basically a kettle. We had dinner the first night there and although the food was lovely, we thought that it was a bit over-priced. We were offered a choice of either grappa or limoncello after our meal, and my husband thought it was so nice he asked for another one. When we checked out and paid our bill, we discovered that we were charged for the three drinks at €4 each, we didnt expect that.Rooms are definitely not sound-proofed as advertised, we could hear the people next door using the toilet. Overall it was a lovely holiday, but it is very rural and no restaurants or bars in walking distance. A car is definitely needed.
