Check in was slow , only one girl and was booking someone on line, so waited 10-15minutes . I have mobility issues and got the elevator up to the 3rd floor and had to walk down two sets of stairs to our room . The room was very small & pillows uncomfortable. Ate in hotel restaurant and the service was excellent and food was very good .

Just okay
It was just okay. The room is very small. It was surprising to see single pane glass in this climate. Great water pressure. The check in procedure was fast and friendly. There needs to be more sound proofing.. you could hear the conversations of the cleaning staff. Stayed One night only. I would come back

Overall, the stay was fine. I always enjoy the charm of the Digby Pines.
My experience in the restaurant was a bit disappointing. Undercooked fish and extremely long wait to have it corrected, and then I was brought fish which was overcooked. And serve the cold vegetables back on my plate that were on my original plate that was waiting for the fish to be redone. Overall the service in the restaurant from the staff was very good. The room itself was very charming. It was very cold when I arrived at 18°. I think when you were expecting guests to check in, perhaps certainly this time of the year, ensuring the rooms are an appropriate temperature would be helpful. There is not an appropriate amount of bathroom. About a half a roll was supplied.

So disappointing
this hotel is in dire need of renovations. The first room smelled so much of mildew it was horrifyinh. They offered a second room who didn't smell but had mildew in the grout in the shower, This hotel was a far cry then what I anticipated while booking. It was such a disappointment, especially with the price we paid. Truly. Do not believe the pictures if you are looking for a 2024 hotel room in a grand local hotel.

Great hotel
Nice hotel, old but charming. Breakfast buffet $25 per person, which seems a bit high for what it is. Pool open 7am-10pm and is heated so open into the early fall.

Comfortable but inconvenient
Check in was fine, except that there’s only one entrance to the hotel; and there’s a staircase of about 12 steps to get up to the lobby entrance from the driveway (and there’s no place for arrivals to park and unload suitcases and bags, so you have to park in a No Parking area to unload, and then carry all of your suitcases and bags up the stairs. Then you can put them on a cart to take to your room. They had one bellcap but she was not around when we arrived. We’re in our 70s and didn’t appreciate having to lug our bags up those steps. The closest available parking spot about 100 meters away.
The room was nice but very small; no desk, refrigerator or microwave. We were close to the elevator so could hear it going up and down all the time.
