Mouse in the room
Well everything started out good until it was time to go to bed, thats when the mice came running in the room. I turned on the light just in time to see the mouse running near the radiator. I had to put all my belongings up on the desk and sleep with lights on hoping it would not crawl into my bed.

Halfway House not Hotel
Cute building; not safe or comfortable. At check in your met with rules NOT LISTED and a very rude older lady at check in. There is no alcohol allowed on site, no food in rooms, quiet hours from 10-10 (including no TV in your own room). You’re not allowed any visitors and if you vape you have to leave the property. (There is a smoking area on site - only for cigarettes). All of which your kicked ‘Immediately’ out, no refunds, partial or otherwise. Oh and if you prebook through the site it’s nonrefundable if you decide against staying there - or if you don’t sign their rules at check in. We were there a week and the police were on site twice because of fights in the hotel. Once we were woken up by one of the employees yelling at a guest down the hall. Another day we were met with a flooded hallway (which they dealt with by placing rugs and towels in the hallway) Only allowed to use certain doors during certain hours. All food has to go in the fridge and be labeled. Only water allowed in rooms. Housekeeping is an extra fee. No toiletries provided. Our room smelled like a literal dumpster - we had to febreze it. Mold in the shared bathrooms. Not comfortable, welcoming or safe. This is an end of the road, last resort. Also; there is someone living in a disheveled camper in the back/alley (they are connected to the buildings power) that people come and go from all hours of the night. Avoid at all costs, no matter how cheap. It is NOT worth it.

Paid for a week stay but kicked us out because they found a beer can. Seriously? We weren’t loud or messy. Literally, drank a beer and then had no place to stay and had to rearrange our plans for the entire week.

Falsely Advertised & Request $ Back!!!!
This property misrepresents itself. The sales staff used words like "quaint," "quality," & said that our two rooms would be "close together, etc. It was not true. My 15yr old daughter, her mom, and myself booked these rooms on the expectation of a one-night stay close together, and a fair price just to prep for a trip from Anchorage to Kenai. We arrived after dark, missing this "inn' multiple times until he realized the building we had been driving by was actually the place we were supposed to stay! First impressions was a rectangular motel with doors on front and some on back and a very confusing sense of being welcomed to a "quality" night's stay. Our rooms "close together" couldn't have been further from each other with with one room upstairs through a twisted hallway at the very end, & the other on the outside far corner NEXT to a trailer. The trailer was the breaking point. They were wooden steps coming from the trailer door to within 10 ft of the door that my daughter and her mom would stay at. When we drove up a person looked out the trailer window at us and at that point my daughter said, "I'm scared I don't want to stay here!" There was a person smoking on a upstairs deck that led to the upstairs rooms and a homeless person across the street. None of this presented itself is a "family friendly" place to stay. Rather it looked like long-term residents would probably be the bulk of the hotel's guests. I would not recommend this place--period! We did not stay.

Great value and location
Great stay for the price. Not fancy, quite eclectic with friendly staff. Very good value and clean. Some road noise if you have a room by the Main Street.

Room looked like it was not cleaned after what was a “remodel project”. Bathroom was not cleaned well. Lady running the front desk was somewhat rude, and acted like my questions were an inconvenience. Not very hospitable. Strangers on the street were more pleasant than her.

We’d stay again
The room we stayed in was large enough with own bathroom. You could hear people walking on floor above but nothing you can’t drowned out. The bed firm and comfy. The room immaculate. Coffee and water served. Make sure to go to Seward, and Girdwood

My window could not latch closed! Was slightly opened all night. Staff was friendly and rooms were unique in being individually decorated, but the place is certainly a bit dated. Price is pretty good compared to other hotels but same price as staying at much better vrbo 30 minutes out of town.

Great location and awesome for the price. Small but if you are just needing a place to sleep for a night or two it's perfect. They have a kitchen off the lobby which can be shared by guests. Stove and refrigerator.
