Worst experience ever with a hotel. Upon check in, the hotel owner/manager was berating his staff about charges to another guest. This continued the whole time he checked me in. He then personally said "give her room 105". When my family and I entered the hall of the hotel it reeked of cigarette smoke, when we got to our room it reeked of chemical smell (probably something to get rid of the smoke smell) Went to front desk and said we'd only be staying 1 or 3 nights because it was so dirty/gross. He offered another room and not a refund. We explained another room wouldn't have made a difference (especially since he personally put us in that room). He then said we needed to take it up with Hotels.com. Spent 30 min on the phone with Hotels.com and they said he refused the refund because we wouldn't take the new room. It was disgusting. Hotels.com should be ashamed to offer this place on their website.
Dirty everything, loose faucet, spider webs on lamps, something splattered on the tv, stained/dirty lamp shades, dirty towels, sink with dirty/missing caulking, wallpaper was stapled to the wall, curtains hanging by the rod, plaster on walls, missing towel rack, and the grossest was the toilet. Never received refund or follow up from Hotels.com or the Magnusun Hotel. Would not recommend to anyone. Pay $20 extra dollars and stay somewhere decent.
Took a stroll around the property to get fresh air. Besides overgrown vegetation, it was a pretty decent area of town
