Lovely staff
The staff were friendly and extremely helpful throughout my stay. I’ll stay there again if I pass through South Bend again.

Zero facial towels or wash cloths. There was a big leak under the sink for which we had to put the trash basket to catch the leaking water whenever we used the sink. We could hear every step in the room above ours which interfered with our sleep. This place is run by a manager who cuts corners and isn't engaged which is reflected in the issues mentioned above. Stay away from this place.

Expedia should no longer list this property. It appears to be temporary shelter for homeless. We registered but then immediately left as we considered the facility to be totally unsafe. I will not pay for the roo.

They advertised an indoor pool on their sign out front but it was empty. When we came back after dinner and it was getting late, there seemed to be a lot of questionable activity outside.

Good for Traveling Through
I didn't spend much time in my room, as I checked in late at night (11:30 pm-ish). Door was locked, which is fine with me when I'm inside, but had to ring the doorbell multiple times to get in. Minor inconvenience. Room was clean, bedding seemed clean, and the bathroom was better than a lot of hotels I've stayed in. I might try the hotel next door next time, just for compariaon, but this is a decent, affordable hotel for a night or 2. Great for quick work trips.

Unfortunately, this is a total dump. It's by far the worst experience I've had with a hotel: I found at least 5 dead bugs (4 which were in the bathroom), the microwave and ice machine were both broken, the room was dusty and dirty, there was mold in the toilet. Furthermore, the neighborhood is pretty scary. The next morning, I couldn't leave fast enough. Save your time and money -- go elsewhere.

The Sleep Inn was terrible. One of the reason why we booked this place was because of the indoor pool which when we arrived wasn’t an indoor pool. The place was not very clean and one of our friends had to request for another room because it smelled and had flies in the room. I never been to a place where they place the coffee maker inside of the restroom. The furniture in the room was very old and disgusting. We went down for breakfast and my husband was eating yogurt and he said that it tasted funny and we realized that it was expired. I would not recommend this place to anyone and wish I could get my money back from this place for false advertising and we wanted to talk with the manager and they kept telling us that the manager wasn’t around.

Horrible stay
Horrible experience. Avoid this hotel will all possibly. Front desk person was extremely rude. When you walk into the building there’s an awful smell. The room we were given the toilet was not flushing. We only use the room to sleep a few hours.

We were traveling with 2 five year olds and it would have been nice if the pool worked. The rooms were very clean.

Lots of people loitering in the parking lot after 8pm, to the point where I was concerned that my car would be broken into during the night. The front desk was polite and told me to pull my car up to where they could see it through the front doors during their night shift. Room was mostly clean, sheets were stained/dirty, and we did not have enough towels. We were exhausted so stayed there but would not stay again. Pool was drained and filthy on the bottom. It did not feel like this hotel was well-cared for or well-managed by the owners. The front desk staff was kind and helpful.

There were a lot of amenities that were promised and not given, barely anyone stayed there, the area around the hotel is weird and kinda creepy. Did not see any airport shuttle, pool was completely empty/not filled, hallways were gross, stained, and smelled bad. The shower inside the room was god awful, for what I paid for 5 days; it was not worth it.

There was not a room ready for us when we arrived to check in after driving all afternoon and evening. The whole place smelled awful, had chosen this hotel because of the pool which was closed. I found it interesting their sign outside advertised a pool but in reality it’s drained. The covers and sheets had stains, carpets had not been vacuumed in quite awhile based on the appearance. One of the worst hotel stays I have ever had.

The property literally stinks. It’s some sort of mixture of just dirtiness and stinky people smell. The common area in particular. We got to our room and it smelled like cigarettes. They said there were no rooms available but I pushed and they “found” one (it was a lot bigger and they probably just didn’t want to give it to us). The pool was drained, the elevator didn’t work, and the tub in the new room was gross and plugged up. It was bad. My advice: avoid!

Do not recommend. Smells bad, the room door does not lock so all your belongings will be exposed to getting stolen , I informed the lady at the counter twice but she did not care to take a look at the door . If you have the option to book somewhere else please do. This has been the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

Smells like cigarettes
My room smelled like cigarettes. When I got there, the window was wide open (probably trying to air out the smell). The pillows are also very small making it hard to get comfortable. I would not stay here again.

Just what we needed.
Great one-nighter for the family. We missed our connection flight, got in 6 hrs later than expected and checked into the hotel at 3am. Receptionist was very nice and welcoming. They allowed us to check out a little later so we could recover from the travel day. Too bad the pool was dry, but the kids were too exhausted from traveling 12 hours anyway. Thank you for a great stay.

The property pool was empty of water and out of order for over a year. The washing machines were out of order. The room I was given has someone in it when I opened the door. No air conditioning in the lobby or common areas during a 90 degree day. Breakfast was coffee, warm milk, and bagged oatmeal. The area was not safe for any woman alone with children. I would not stay there, but they refused to refund my money. Very unsafe not as advertised hotel.
