6/10 Good

Unique & O.k.
Our experience was quite unique. Our bed was comfortable, and that was a plus. The decor was intrguing. We appreciated the kind greeting upon arrival. But, our room was covered in a thick coat of dust. The rug needs to be cleaned as the once cream-colored item is now a seriously dirty beige. We did haveva balcony but did not feel comfortable using it after being told it was simply too hot and dirty, so if we wanted to sit outside, we should use the downstairs porch/balcony. This was a "lengthy talking point.) We checked on on Fridsy night, hoping to enjiy a little breakfast before heading back out towards our next destination on Saturday. Unfortunately, we were told breakfast is not served until 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays, and we could not hang around for that long. This is a unique place, but if you are looking for certain comforts, this may not be for you.

Fantastic B & B
This is a beautiful historic home on the hill above downtown. The moment we were greeted at the door by the host, we felt right at home. Our room was on the second floor and had a balcony that was perfect for an early evening glass of wine. We walked the two blocks to downtown for dinner. There are a variety of places to eat. The host made breakfast for us in the morning which was fabulous. He sat with us and told us some of the history of Pendleton. I can't wait to go back.
