The Wifi not working the whole time. Front desk reset the modem still not working. Find your own street parking. We got the room that hide behind with no view. Our deck was under an outside stairs. Its a share deck. Have to walk to someone else deck to get a view. Shower head won’t stay up keep fall down. Asked front desk for hiking suggestion, not quite helpful, his English is limited, the area was outside the map he has. Breakfast was just average…overall, this hotel has an old and cheap feeling.

For a 4 star hotel, it looks a bit dated but room and facilities were good. No kitchenette in the 2 bedroom suite, not even a microwave to heat up a soup or milk. It is on the corner of the Main Street so very convenient location. It’s not cheap but nothing is in Cortina. Parking is hit and miss, they only have a few places available. Breakfast was good, with the usual offerings: yogurt (plenty of tastes), egg, bacon, cereal, ham, cheese and very tasty pastries, including croissants.

Nice hotel room with balcony. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast is great (lots of choice). We also had dinner in the restaurant which was good and reasonably priced.

Classic European Hotel.
A great downtown Cortina location, right at the southern end of the walking plaza. This is an older classic hotel which has been updated. I particularly noticed the new windows, which sealed nicely eliminating all traffic noise. Extensive choices for the included breakfast buffet, and I occasionally see some very low prices posted, offering great value

2/10 Poor

Dated hotel Our room was extremely uncomfortable. Elevator didn’t go all the way up to our floor. Room was tucked up in the eaves with low ceiling, no windows in one room, and low ceiling in bathroom made it practically unusable. Hotel hasn’t seen an update in 50 years. Sheets might be that old—like sandpaper.

The room was a bit outdated and felt old, but it was clean and functional. A good size for a single. The breakfast was ok, not as extensive as other Italian breakfasts I’ve had (no croissants, not as many cakes). Staff were very nice, happy and helpful. The hotel’s in a great location, right on the main street, and close to a bus stop.

Stunning views, charming building
The superior room had a fabulous balcony and a useful separate office area. I don’t think I’ve ever worked in a more scenic place. The blackout shutters were a big bonus as the hotel location is a sun trap, so it helped me have a lie in. Unfortunately, the breakfast service was poor. A broken coffee machine, cold eggs and sausage and a member of staff who wasn’t able to manage supply v demand. All these things are easily fixable and could make the hotel even better.

Nice stay, a little noisy.
Overall a good stay. Warm room but windows open helped, downside was the loud compressor that ran periodically through the night from within the windowed courtyard of the hotel. Great location and nice staff. Parking is close but before you get to the hotel so, it took a second trip around town to get back to it.

Location is great. I would rate it as 3 star and not the 4 star given. And speaking to locals, they agree it is more 3 star. Perhaps it was our fault for inadvertently booking the cheapest room in the hotel but in 20 years of travel we have never encountered a room like it. The bulb was naked, there was a view but you had to stand on a chair and look through a skylight window. It is difficult to describe the bathroom, but suffice to say it had seen MUCH better days and you couldn’t stand straight up in the bath (with hand held shower) without hitting your head on the sloping eves. The staff were hospitable and the owner delightful. I am sure there are much better rooms and would recommend not taking one of the top attic floor rooms.
