This site was obviously understaffed. The model is set up to minimize staff, but it doesn't work in practice. The dining room staff were called upon to assist check ins. The dining room was understaffed.
The staff made a mistake, which I understand. Mistakes happen, particularly when the staffing model inappropriately stretches them. But, we had to ask the staff for information instead of them communicating more directly with us. The result was that we felt like a pain in order to simply get a hot meal over two hours after ordering it.
This advertised two dining rooms and that was not true.
The parking was horrendous and there didn't seem to be a plan.
We would have liked to use the pool and sauna, but the dining debacle took that opportunity from us.
It's evident that this is a "start up" and that ownership/management believe that they can get by on minimal staffing. Start ups typically require a heavier leverl of staffing to deal with the inevitable issues.
I did communicate our issue to management. I had to ask directly for a response and, now, am waiting for the general manager to get back from vacation.
If you go, find another place to eat and park until they get their systems in place.
