Cool
Simple small rooms. Loved the location. Several stains on the carpet and walls had scratches, but I didn't really care about that. Staff were great.

It was a budget friendly hostel. They dont clean the room everyday but they provide new towels every morning. Still the place is clean and quite. Nice place to stay

Pros: We arrived at the property 30 minutes early to ask if luggage storage is available and they offered to let us check in early. ^ I’m glad we didn’t do luggage storage as I definitely wouldn’t trust this hotel with my private property. Cons: • The first was arrival into the property, the lifts seemingly have broken sensors and they kept opening and closing repeatedly despite the lift being empty and just arriving - they closed on my partners arm • The general hotel smells unpleasant and is quite unclean • None of the staff are Japanese and a few of them are from countries where the culture can treat woman very differently in a negative way, which I hoped wouldn’t be an issue if they are living in japan but the male staff made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. They kept staring at my chest (which was mostly covered) and watched my put in my card pin. • Now onto the room - this was absolutely disgusting, it smelled terrible in the bathroom and main room, our window was locked and frosted glass so we had 0 view outside (this also felt very unsafe in the event of a fire). There were stains everywhere - the floor, bed, walls and I’m not talking little stains but around 20cm stains and what looked like feces smeared on the wall. We only managed to spend 10 minutes in the room before deciding the property felt unsafe and was too dirty When we politely asked to check out they were rude and angry saying they won’t refund us (we didn’t ask or expect)

The hotel is not clean. There was mold in the bathroom. They do not clean your room unless you ask them to. They will change your towels and take your garbage out daily, but do not actually clean. Under the bed is disgusting. The whole hotel does not smell good. It is cheap for a reason. Close to 2 stations and not too long of a walk from Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi

Great property overall, but cleanliness could be improved a bit, particularly the carpets and the shower area.

Only goods are location and price
Carpet makes us itchy. Room insulation is very poor which I can hear how the next room talk and baby cry. Beds are super small, offering just 2 of 2.5 feets beds for a family of four. Locations is perfect, and price is cheap, which makes me value it a 3 stars.

Staff were attentive and helpful, check in process was easy enough - however pre-check in that is emailed out was confusing and didn’t work for us. For the price it’s fine. It’s close to everything we needed and had everything we needed. The bed was FIRM (uncomfortably so) and the room small, but we were prepared for that. Overall, really just a get what you paid for situation.

Pretty decent for the price. Small room but I’d say it was average for what you get in Japan for this price range. Good location for walking and train stations. Great that they’ll store you bags before you are able to check in.

2/10 Poor

The hotel has very convenient location. But from all hotels we have stayed in Japan, this one was by far the worst. It is dirty, the room had disgusting odour and it was noisy. Definitely not worth it, despite the low price. The staff is mainly non-Japanese and is not much friendly.

Disgusting
Dirty, water coming out of the bathroom all the time. Small rooms, ugly and old sheets, we lost one card and had to pay 3000 yen. Location was good but only thing.

Great place to stay
We arrived at the hotel before our check in time, but the man on reception phoned to see if our rooms were ready, and then checked us in early, great customer service. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had plenty of space, free toiletries and extra things such as toothbrushes and paste

Dusty headboard, bathroom in poor condition, major water damage lurking behind the tiling of the bathroom - made me question the cleanliness of the whole place. Could barely fit anything in the fridge. Hardest spring mattress I slept on throughout my two weeks in Japan. Got assigned a room in front of the elevator on the 7th floor. You can hear everything, every single inconsiderate person having full on conversation yelling at the vending machine and the laundry room. Map out your travel plans to make sure walking to and from the train station w things you inevitably end up buying isn’t too heavy.

we could hear the elevator door ring and the people walking one floor above us all the time. The fire larm can also be (easily?) triggered with steam from the bathroom, which actually happened to someone in the middle of the night on our first day. The pilows were uncomfortable and the matress very stiff. otherwise everything was clean and the utilities were more than sufficient. If not for our trouble sleeping it would be a wonderful price.

Wow, where do I even start with this hotel. I travelled around the main/bigger cities of Japan for a few weeks and expected more from a hotel in Osaka. This place was extremely no frills – okay, fine. The room was small, the bathroom layout was annoying (no electrical outlet…. so where do I blow dry my hair??). The room itself was dingy and old, the refrigerator needed to be switched on and switched off sometimes randomly, even if I had something in the fridge. I expected most hotels to have the luggage forwarding service, but the front desk guy looked at me blankly until I specifically asked for Yamato. He said there were a few locations nearby, but they (the hotel) didn’t do it. Most nights I could hear loud conversations in the hall, sometimes shouting. It was a 15 minute walk from the nearest subway which was fine, but honestly I have nothing good to say about this hotel. Worst place I’ve ever stayed.
