I booked 2 rooms on Wednesday 25 September for my husband and me and the second room for an 83 year old gentleman.
We were taking him to Derby to visit his old mate who is in a nursing. When we went to pick him up, he was ill and couldn’t go. When we got to Derby, we went immediately to the Boab Inn and explained the situation- they would not give us a refund or even move the booking to a different date. I was told to contact Hotel.com which I did. They said they would contact the owners and get back to me. I have heart nothing- needless to say we are pensioners and can’t afford to throw money away. There was no empathy or compassion! I am extremely disappointed with Hotel.com and the Boab Inn.
