Budapest hotel
Crowne Plaza Budapest, an IHG Hotel is a very nice, clean, modern and new-looking hotel next to the Westend shopping center. The hotel offers the possibility of parking your car in the garages located in the basement of the hotel. From the garages there is an elevator directly to the lobby with the reception. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean. There was a sufficient number of towels in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and each of us had two pillows. The hotel offers both soft and hard pillows (you have to ask for them at the reception, because you automatically get soft pillows). It depends on everyone's preference what they like to sleep on. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing - a large selection of savory and sweet dishes, cold and hot drinks. The food was amazing 😋. We would stay here again just for this breakfast.
However, there are two things that we did not like at all about the hotel.
1) the room was cold. The temperature could only be set on the central air conditioning up to 24°C and not higher and it had limited power. So it was colder in the room.
2) the hotel had windows that were poorly insulated and leaky - we were on the third floor and through the closed windows we could hear cars driving on the street in the evening, overnight and in the morning.
The overall experience was positive, but there is a big BUT!
