The staff were amazing! Everyone made us feel welcome and appreciated. It was a wonderful Christmas get-away.
The air didn’t work, so it was really warm in the room. There was hair all over the shower walls, and finger prints on the mirror
No room cleaning during our stay, pay to park and construction going on and no restaurant
Hotel was nice even though there was construction going on and we could constantly hear hammering and drilling during thr day. Staff was super friendly and location was nice. There is very little lighting in the rooms however. I was unhappy that it's not mentioned when you book about the $50 PER DAY incidental charge AND you have to pay $9 per day to park. With all the other charges, I'm not sure it was worth the price.
I can only speak for my room but the bed was horrible. It was a worn out pillowtop spring mattress. The bed was on a platform that you could feel as soon as you got on the bed. There was a bar that could be felt down the center of the mattress. The pillows were too small for the bed and one of the pillows was thin and hard. There aren’t any mattress liners and the mattress had a huge stain. No real comforter, only two flat sheets and a cheap plastic like duvet. The room I had on the 2nd floor was right next to the roof top bar so I couldn’t even open my blinds because people were looking right into my room and waving at me. If you’re a uninhibited voyeur then that’s the spot to be. There’s construction going on but things were still pretty clean. The staff were VERY polite and professional. The location was perfect as no attractions were greater than 15 minutes away. For the price of those rooms per night I expected much more. I’ve stayed at hotels that were $79 dollars a night with much better decor and bedding. To say the hotel is trying to be a part of the Hilton luxury brand, they’re failing miserably. If the other rooms weren’t like this one was, then it’s pretty clear that there are “3rd party booked” rooms set aside.
Hotel in rehab but nothing special about it
Taken that the Chattanoogan was experiencing a remodel at the time of our stay and the Covet 19 effect on everything around us, I believe that services could have been much better! Security was not visual at all and non residents were allowed to enter and wonder thru during the day (even a knock on my door mid afternoon by a person requesting monetary help). The valets and hostess were the only contacts and were very helpful! The High Rail being the only on site restaurant was very good, service was excellent, food was great and the atmosphere inviting (High light of our stay)! Wish there were disclaimers regarding construction on the Hotels dot com website!
The site is under construction. People started working on the floor above us 7 am, and made a lot of noise. The Whole place is very dusty.
Major renovations are underway. I wasn't told this until after I booked and paid. The television in my room didn't work. I tried to call the front desk to report it but the phone didn't work either. I paid full price but I did not receive what I paid for.
It was a last minute book 300 ish bucks after taxes. The lobby was being renovated and smelled like dirty socks and construction. The room and bed was clean, we paid for a king and got a queen mattress.
