Grateful for their understanding and help!
This was my second visit to Bogota in the last few months and I was travelling alone this time. Unfortunately, while enjoying myself walking around Parque 93 I was targeted and robbed of by some slick people posing as undercover police; my cash, credit card, driver's license and IPhone were taken. It was a good thing I left my passport in the hotel safe along with a bit of cash. Some locals came to my rescue and brought me to a police station. The police escorted me back to the hotel and the staff tried to help me with many telephone calls. I was leaving the morning after the unfortunate incident but I racked up hundreds of dollars worth of long distance phone calls. The hotel front desk lady conferred with the duty manager and they graciously waived all my telephone fees. Although I was shaken up nonetheless I still very much like Colombian people and the compassion of the hotel staff confirmed that most people are good.

j'ai passé un agréable séjour, et je remercie l'équipe du bar et du restaurant, en particulier Andrès, Samuel, et MMe Pilar, pour leur gentillesse et leur sourire, par contre un certain employé Alexandre doit avoir des comptes à régler car à chaque fois qu'il prenait son service le soir, il fallait qu'il s'en prenne au moins a un employé, et devant les clients, ce qui n'est pas terrible, je crois que c'est une personne qui aime montrer sa supériorité, de plus c'est le seul qui as le droit de porter une bouche d'oreille, il cache un peu le paysage avec son humeur à chaque fois qu'il est présent.

Casa Dann Carlton is the best.
Everybody made you welcome and were happy to give you directions and suggestions to visit. The hotel car service was excellent, be sure to ask for the driver Julio, super nice and can be rented by hour or the day. Not expensive at all and much safer than street taxis.

A great hotel at a great price
I really love this hotel, it offers everything the big names do but at a fraction of the price. It's safe and located in a great neighborhood, easy access to everything in the city, a great free full breakfast, and of course the spa which I don't use but its nice to have.
