Rooms are above their very busy hotel/restaurant but rooms well sound proofed so didn’t hear noise from hotel/restaurant. Room was quite small and very hot with no external windows to open. Modern and clean with nice bathroom. Hotel parking was limited and was full but paid parking around back was ok.

Staff were friendly, room was hot and stuffy
No window, AC wasn't working. Incredibly stuffy and hot overnight. No top sheet so had to choose between no blankets or a down comforter.

Thanks but no thanks
Not as per expectations. It is not a bad facility overall, but be advised. There are only five parking spaces and you can get blocked in by double parking quite easily. The very nice competent security guard helped me park my car in a suitable space the moment one became free, but without him it was impossible. It is a Wetherspoons bar, I was not aware of this on booking, be advised quite busy and exuberant. Room was clean but dark with only a skylight no window.

We were initially very excited to stay at this hotel.. however, the pictures of the rooms and the one we got were entirely different. There wasn’t any stone feature wall in our room, there wasn’t even a window. The corners of the room and walls were extremely dusty where I had to wet a hand towel and wipe them down. I don’t think the room had been properly vacuumed in a while. At least the linens were clean and the washroom surfaces were decent. Overall, disappointed with the room at this hotel.

Nice overnight stay
Boutique hotel above a bustling pub in a historic building. Beautiful architectural features. Pub is a local hangout. Easy walk to Swords castle, restaurants & shopping. 5 min from airport. Enjoyed our stay. Parking lot is tiny, so if you arrive in late afternoon, they’ll have to give you a voucher to park offsite.

Very close to the airport (8-10 min). Hotel pub food was good (I really liked my pizza) and was easy to order online from the table or at the bar, then delivered hot to the table. Drinks were pretty inexpensive and coffee/tea/espresso in the morning was bottomless. Our room was very quiet. No window but a skylight that could open for a breeze and a shade that could be closed for darkness. The whole room looks like it had been recently updated and did have its own thermostat which was nice as we prefer cooler sleeping temps. Everything was clean. Parking out front was limited but we arrived early enough (2:30) so there were lots of spaces. Check in for the rooms is done at the bar. Overall, it was a quick night for us as we were heading for the airport early to return our rental but it was a good place to rest our weary bodies.

Great location and very convenient being over a bar and restaurant. Our room was located next to the beer garden area so it was quite noisy until about 1am. We had a flight in the morning so location was good to get to the airport early

We spent our last night in Ireland at The Old Borough. It's an interesting old building that has been renovated into a nice pub and inn. The room was spacious with unique decor and comfortable bedding. The shower worked well, though it did let a good bit of water out onto the floor. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and quiet. Parking is very limited, but we lucked out and were able to park at the property. Street parking is available, but it is a busy street. The Old Borough is on the main street through Swords, and is a short walk to the castle and many good dining options. It's a very short drive from Dublin Airport, so super convenient if you've got an early flight. After a week of driving around the North & West of Ireland, The Old Borough was the perfect place to stay before flying out the next morning.

I love the country inn vibe. I loved that there was a lift as I had a very heavy suitcase. The lift was quirky. Great selection of pub grub at reasonable prices which included a generous glass of wine. When checking out early morning, I was standing in front of the counter and my shoes were sticking to the floor. Probably a drink was spilled there but it did not give a good impression.

We loved The Old Borough experience. It was wonderfully restored. We loved the original fireplace in the room. Hospitality was very evident, as were thoughtful optional touches in place.

We were freezing in our room. We had been out in the rain all day and trying to warm up. When I went down to the front desk to ask if there was a trick to get the heat on, she told me they control the heat and it wasn't due to go on but she could put ours on earlier. I found this strange, especially when I'm the guest and if I'm cold, I want to be able to put my heat on.
